Halloween Inspiration Day 1 - Gift Bag

Welcome to Day 1 of the 7 Days of Halloween Blog Event brought to you by "The Inspiration Crew". We’re just a group of online crafty friends who love being creative. This time we're doing a 7 day event to provide you with tons of Halloween Inspiration.

We're making crafty projects using products we like and some of us are even offering prizes. Check each individual blog for details about prizes and be sure to check back daily!

At the bottom of this post is a list of all the crafty ladies participating in this event. Visit all the blogs each day for loads of fun Halloween craft ideas.

Personally, I was just craving something other than a card (with World Card Making Day just finishing!). Halloween is all about the candy, so a treat bag is definitely necessary for this fun holiday!

This is a small brown bag filled with Tootsie Rolls (yum!). I mixed a lot of old and new products for this gift bag. The pattern paper is the new DCWV "Spooky Time" stack, new lacy black ribbon, and old stamps from Paper Smooches and Inkadinkado.

Step 1: Distress/Ink edges of bag
Step 2: Stamp bats directly on bag. Adhere lace ribbon to bag.
Step 3: Stamp "Happy Halloween" and skull on pattern paper strip. Adhere to bag and apply black washi tape
Step 4: Use border punch on purple strip of paper; apply black washi tape; wrap twine around strip; adhere to bag.
Step 5: Add rhinestones. Fill bag with yummy treats and staple closed!

Just for fun, I decorated some of the Tootsie Rolls that went inside. These die cuts have been in my stash for 4 years and I think they're from K&Co.

Thanks for joining us for day 1 of the fun! Visit all these talented ladies for more great ideas!
