Giveaway closed

It's Topflight Stamps 5th birthday and to celebrate, I’ve teamed up with some great designers to showcase celebratory projects using the unique products available at Topflight Stamps. Please hop along with us and see all the beautiful talent from this group of amazing designers! You should have arrived here from Jennie's blog. If not, no worries, catch the details below.

I've created 4 different birthday cards to help celebrate Topflight Stamp's 5th birthday! I even have a card video to share to show how I create my bee card.

All of my cards today use the adorable stamp set "Party 2" by Craft Emotions. I couldn't decide which image to use so I created cards with all of them. I colored all of my images with Copic markers and cut them out using my Brother Scan n Cut.

Here's a quick video of the Hap-Bee Birthday card:

I fell in love with the sweet puffer fish stamp. I layered two of them in front of some floating bubbles as they celebrate.

Next I have the darling elephant and turtle. I love how the turtle looks up in awe at the glittery balloon :)

Lastly, every stash needs a belated birthday card. I image the poor turtle is getting slowed down even more by carrying so many balloons with him...

Follow along here and if you get lost you can always start at the Topflight Stamps Blog. Your next stop is Connie. Happy Hopping!

Bold Slimline Card with Wow! Embossing Powders

Happy Monday! I'm excited to share this bold slimline card filled with lovely embossing powders. It's also my day at the Topflight Stamps blog so be sure to check it out!

I love how the different powders pop on the black cardstock. I started by stamping the AALL & Create Poppy Seedhead stamp with Versamagic ink and heat embossing with Brassy Twinkle Wow! embossing powder.

I used the AALL & Create Lotza Stars stencil with Cosmic Shimmer Structure Paste then put Wow! Embossing Powder in Capri on top of the paste. I hit it with my heat gun to melt the powder and also bubble up the paste a bit to give yummy texture.

I added Paper Artsy Fresco Paint in Bora Bora to the bottom and top corner. This color matches perfectly with the Capri embossing powder.

Can't have a mixed media card without some splatters! I added splatters with Glimmer Mist in Bronze Penny and Glamour Gold.

I colored the white sentiment strip with Prism Ink Canary Yellow. The yellow color will pop off the black cardstock.

Thanks for stopping in and hopefully you're inspired to pull out your embossing powders!

Art Journal featuring Paper Artsy + Video

Hello everyone and happy Spring! Today I'm sharing a bright art journal page at the Topflight Stamps blog and here with you featuring Paper Artsy Fresco Paints. I was excited to pull out my Dylusions black art journal for this project.

Video:

I love how the Paper Artsy Fresco Paints pop on the black pages of my art journal. I used Paper Artsy paints in Zesty ZingBora Bora, and Bougainvillea. I started with a big wash of Zesty Zing, then some spots of the pink Bougainvillea, and quick lines of the Bora Bora.

I used the same paint colors to start adding in stencils. I first added PS271 which is the alpha and number stencil. Then I added the Darkroom Door Honeycomb stencil in Zesty Zing.

Lastly I used Cosmic Shimmer Paste over the Hung up on Hearts stencil. Over the paste I added Wow! Embossing Powder in Glamour Gold and hit it with my heat gun. I love love LOVE how the paste pops with the embossing powder to create so much dimension.

My obsession with Little Wren is still going strong, so I had to pop him into the journal page. I splattered the page and the wren with Bora Bora and Bubble Gum. Paint splatters finish the page as far as I'm concerned! :)

I put together a process video which you can watch here. Thank you!

Little Wren ATC Trio + Video

Hello everyone and happy Monday! I'm popping in to share an ATC trio using the new Little Wren stamp by AALL & Create, which I'm also sharing on the Topflight Stamps blog. I've recently developed a bird obsession so this stamp had to be mine! You can watch my short process video here!

I started with watercolor paper cut to 2.5"x3.5" and sprayed with water. I added the paint colors PersimmonBora Bora, and London Bus by Paper Artsy. Be careful when adding the Persimmon, because if it mixes with the Bora Bora you'll get brown mud!

I then added modeling paste that I turned yellow with a Gelato over the AALL & Create Lotza Starz stencil. Once dry, I stamped the Reckoner Digits image in the open spaces.

The Little Wren image was stamped on white cardstock and misted with a variety of Prism Glimmer Mists. I also splattered Bronze Penny Glimmer Mist directly on the ATC. The wren was fussy cut and added to the ATC with a stapler.

Santa Cruz Scrapbook Pages with Chou and Flowers

Today I'm sharing two scrapbook pages I created using the beautiful stamp set Memories by Chou and Flowers. The set includes both large and small images that are perfect for layering to create accents for the layouts. All of the stamped images were cut using my Brother Scan n Cut.

For this layout I started by spraying the white background with Prism Glimmer Mist "Azure Sky" and "Silver Dollar"

I stamped multiple images on white cardstock and cut them out. I placed a drop of Paper Artsy Fresco Paint in Zesty ZingBora Bora, and Limelight on my craft mat and misted the paint with water. I then tapped the stamped images onto the paints. I intentionally left some white space to help the detail of the stamps shine through.

I also stamped the sentiment "zoom. focus. capture" around the layout using Prism Ink in French Navy.

I created a second layout using the same Chou and Flowers Memories stamp set...

I started by rough painting the background with Paper Artsy Fresco Paint in Zesty Zing and London Bus. I used these paint colors to mimic the sunset images on the layout.

The stamped images were colored with Copic Markers. I also repeatedly stamped the sentiment "Memories Inside" with Prism Ink "Camillia Pink". I also finished off the page by splattering Prism Glimmer Mist in Bronze Penny.

I really love the polaroid image in this stamp set. I printed three other sunset photos to size to fit in the image. These polaroid stamps would also be a great spot for journaling and adding dates to the layout.

I hope you enjoyed my scrapbook layouts featuring photos from our trip to Santa Cruz!

Party Hamsters - 3 cards

Recently, Mama Elephant released a stamp set that I just couldn't resist... Celebration Hamsters! The images are so adorable so I dove right in and created three birthday cards.

I used the same design as a birthday card I created a few months ago for my husband. I just love this little hamster floating through cotton candy clouds. I colored the hamster to match my sweet late ham-ham Chloe :)

Chloe Bear!

I cut all of the stamped images using my Brother Scan n Cut and colored with Copic markers (see the markers below!). The clouds were made using my most-used stencil by Simon Says Stamp "Clouds for Days" using Distress Ink in Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar.

My next card uses the sweet hamster and cake stamp...

The background of the frame is stenciled with Stamper's Anonymous THMM127 with Distress Ink "Squeezed Lemonade". The border dies are from Waffle Flower "A2 Lacy Layers Die". The sentiment is stamped and die cut from The Greetery "Sentiment Suite Basics" die.

The hamster was cut with my Brother Scan n Cut and colored with the Copic markers below:

My last card uses the three little party hamsters.

This card uses most of the same supplies and Copics. I did add Rock Candy Glitter through an old Heidi Swapp stars stencil to make them shimmer and shine.

I hope you like these hamster cards! I'll be entering them into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Use a stencil"  and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Use a Die Cut".
