Stampotique Spots and Dots

Welcome back to another Stampotique Designer's Challenge! This week the challenge is "Spots and Dots" so it should be easy to play along how you like.

I had so much fun with this background and look at those awesome new stamps! I used Stampotique "Road Runner" and "Cactus Row" to create these ATCs.

I started with a 2.5"x3.5" piece of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper and painted it with my index finger using Dina Wakley Acrylics in Lemon and Magenta. I wanted the colors to very loosely blend to make a tiny bit of orange. I love that you can still see the streaks of yellow and pink!

Now it was time to add some polka dots! I first painted polka dots with Liquitex Gesso to cover up the paint. Then I colored in the gesso'd dots with my Liquitex Paint Marker Flourescent Green then added some very simple shading to the bottom of each circle with a Faber Castell Phtalo Green pitt pen. Lastly I outlined each circle with my white Gelli Roll pen to make them really pop!

The Road Runner and Cactus were colored with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors... that I'm obsessed with! There is so much pigment in these watercolors!!!

So I loved my first ATC so much that I decided to make a nighttime scene to go with it...

I was hoping it looked like the moon behind the roadrunner? Maybe? I made these spots and dots by painting my left over pink and yellow paint on a piece of bubble wrap, then using the bubble wrap like a stamp for my background. The roadrunner and ground were also painted with the Kuretake watercolors.

Thanks again for visiting! Make sure to join the latest Spots and Dots Stampotique Challenge!

Stampotique Swaperoo Take 2

Welcome back! I'm excited to share my latest card for the Stampotique Designer's Challenge - Swaperoo.

In my video for my last Swaperoo (you can watch it here) I mentioned that I saved all the little body parts to create another mixed-and-matched creature... well here he is! I'm quite fond of him!

I combined Dweeze's arms and legs to Lil Tatawea's body and finally attached Harry Heart's head. I had a lot of fun coloring the images with my new Gamsai Tambi watercolors. The colors are so vibrant!

Thanks for stopping by and get swapping!

Stampotique Guest Designer!

I'm so excited for January! I am so honored to be the January Guest Designer over at Stampotique! I love love love these stamps, they are some of the most unique artistic stamps out there. I'm just so excited to be a part of the Designer's Challenge for all of January :)

The first challenge is a fun one! It's called Swaperoo - mix and match different parts of your stamps to create your very own! Here's mine:

I combined three different stamps to create this cool guy, who I actually quite adore. He was colored with Scribble Sticks, fussy cut, and then all his body parts were put back together. The Stampotique stamps I used were "Dweeze" for the torso, "Lil Tatawea" for the feet and wings, and "Shmurfy" for the head. The letters are from the new "Terri's Alphabet" stamp set.

I have a video showing you how I created this card along with all the supplies I used. You can also watch it on youtube here

The birthday hat made this an obvious birthday card, so I kept the sentiment super short and simple: HBD! Happy BirthDay!

Thanks for joining me! Please enjoy my latest video here!
