Hero Arts Mixed Media Birthday Cards

Welcome back! You can always find me on instagram: @rwkrafts when I'm lazy about posting here :)

Today I'm sharing two mixed media birthday cards using several new Hero Arts products. I put together a little reel of the process, you can watch that here!

I quickly fell in love with this Art Deco Dancing Light stencil by Hero Arts. I used Liquitex modeling paste over watercolor paper and let it dry over night.

The other card uses Abstract Waves stencil which I also used modeling paste over watercolor paper and let it dry overnight. Once dry, I add the sprays!

These new metallic sprays also have a bit of gold in them. In the zoomed in photos shared below you can see the added sparkle. Each card uses Fuchsia + Gold and Ocean Blue + Gold sprays. I dried them completely with my Ranger Heat Tool.

This is my favorite close-up photo because you can see the gold inside the sprays! With this card, I just used my fingers to rub some areas of Nuvo Mousse Lilac Lavender and Nuvo Mousse Cornflower Blue on top of the dried sprays. It really worked its way into all the stencil's nooks and crannies. Did I mention how much I love this stencil?

For this card, I used my Embossing Ink and just ran it randomly over the card. I then applied Gold Embossing powder, and used a paint brush to make the powder less dense or even. Of course, I heated it until melted with my Wagner Heat Tool.

For both sentiments, I double die cut the 'happy' with my favorite glitter paper to add some layers. The rest of the sentiment is also stamped and embossed with Gold powder. These sentiments are from the Happy Thanks Stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by! Oh, and today is my birthday woohoo!
