Partners in Brine

I am seriously loving the Packed with Love collection, and I've used every single piece of it. I have another mermaid card to share today... and two more coming soon!

Each of the stamped images (mermaid, large sardine, packed with love, and partners in brine) come from the Partners in Brine stamp and cut set. I colored the mermaid and sardine with my Copic markers, and used those colors to inspire the die cut sardines in the background.

The die cuts on the card all come from the Big Mouth Sardine Die Set. The tin can was cut with the matte silver cardstock, which comes in a great metallic cardstock set that I use very very often. I added vellum to the lining of the can to help the mermaid stand out better in front of the colored sardine background.

The Big Mouth Sardine Die is also intended to match with the Big Mouth die to make it interactive! So you can make the can slide open to reveal something inside. If you don't want to deal with the interactive part, the set is still fun to use on its own, like I did here.

So Well Preserved

New collections just dropped over at Hero Arts! You can view all the fun on the site here. Today I'm sharing a card that features a few different sets from the Packed with Love collection.

Don't you love this mercat?! The fun sentiment and little fishes come from the Well Preserved set. The mercat (my favorite part of the whole collection!) comes from the Partners in Brine set.

I colored the mercat with Copic markers. The blue fishies were stamped with Paradise ink, and I cut the waves from Arctic cardstock and then ink blended with more Paradise.

Those fun wave dies are also included in the Partners in Brine bundle. I finished the card off with some white acrylic splatter on a Nautical card base.

Keeping it quick today!

The background cling stamp is an older one, called Words of Peace. It felt fitting.

Better Together - Otter Edition

All animals are adorable, but I think otters are top tier cute. The Spellbinders December Small Die of the Month is so perfect for lovers of these marine creatures!

I combined a few different SB items to put this little water scene together. Otters are known for holding hands (so cute!) so I had to recreate that in the card. The embossed background uses an old SB folder, and the coral and fishies are from the August 2025 small die

I mounted the little otters on an Arches Infinity Die cut from Nautical Cardstock. All other cardstocks come from the ColorWheel collection. And the great thing about this die set is that you can also use the pieces to create little owls! A perfect two-in-one.

Don't tell my husband, but I think this will be his Valentine's Day card this year ;)

Butterfly in the sky...

The Spellbinders club kits this month are jumping right into Spring... so if you're freezing like I am right now, I have a bit of sunshine to share with you. And if you're not freezing, please enjoy this card anyway!

This lovely card uses exclusively dies from the January Stitching Dies of the Month called Butterfly Dance. I love that this beautiful card came together without me having to stitch a single thing! Of course, there are separate dies included if you like to add a little stitching flair to your butterfly.

All papers used on this card come from the ColorWheel collection. Also... every single die I used today comes in the January kit! It's rare that a single kit will have enough to create a full card.

My goal for the butterfly was to make it look like a Blue Morpho, so I added some shimmer with the PrismaGlitter. I think it works.. a little?!

Just a quick post today! Thanks for stopping by.

Friends for Life

There's a super cute new release that JUST DROPPED at Simon Says Stamp! This sweet collection is called Heart to Heart and will be great for anything Valentine's related but also for sweet friendship cards and general 'hello' cards.

I used this cute set that is very appropriately called Sweet Friendship. The little animals were colored with Copics and I fussy cut with my Cutterbee scissors. I wanted them to be in a little camp-feeling scene, so I added some fun items to the background.

I started the background by ink blending the night sky with Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, and Hickory Smoke. I then used the Scattered Stars stencil with Unicorn Pigment Ink for the little stars. The grass die is from Hero Arts Garden Birds set, and finally the fun polaroid is from the Journaling Photo Frame dies.

My second card uses the same stamp set, just with a much simpler set up! It came together quickly and I just put this cute little chickies against a sky blue background.

Thank you for stopping by!

My Monthly Hero is BACK!

Happy New Year, everyone! The year is starting out with great crafty news... The famous My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts is officially BACK! This has always been one of the best card kits in the industry, and at such a great price, you should absolutely subscribe for your monthly crafting needs. And by subbing, you are always going to receive the kit even if it sells out.

I have 4 cards to share, so hang on tight!

My first card mainly uses that beautiful large mailbox die. I used beautiful cardstock from the ColorWheel collection for my cards today. I really love that darling little bird guarding my mailbox flowers :)

The silver cardstock is from the beautiful metallic pack, which has a variety of different finishes, so I highly recommend you add that to your stash!

My second card using the main My Monthly Hero kit features the sweet stamp set. And this entire kit pairs very well with my favorite: Postage Infinity Dies! Any excuse to use those dies is a good one :)

The background cling stamp is the Ode to Andy Warhol cling from last year's Valentine's Day release. I stamped it in Dusty Blue ink and the birdies are colored with Copics.

There is also a mega-kit available now called My Monthly Super Hero! I really fell in love with this one (did you see that mail dog?!) so I have two cards to share...

I love this little doggo! I paired the new die sets from the MMSH kit with some older Hero sets from last year. The grass die is from the Garden Birds Fancy Dies (which is actually three beautiful dies you can pair up!) and the background cling is Words of Peace inked in Granite.

Secret tip... to get a shiny black nose and eye I used my handy black gel pen.

I had a lot of fun with this card! I really wanted to recreate a classic "what's black and white and read (red) all over" type of newspaper. I used the lightest grey cardstock from the ColorWheel collection, and stamped the newspaper images with Granite ink. I then lightly ink blended the edges of the paper, also with Granite ink. To help the Happy Birthday sentiment stand out, I inked it in Black. And of course, the touches of red to make it pop!

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy 2026!
