Index Cards for ICAD

  Today I'm on the Topflight Stamps blog sharing some index cards with you all today.

I decided to make 4 index cards, so I started by gesso-ing them all. I've quickly fallen in love with the new Lavinia Mysticals sprays, so I used Amble Green spray and Kingfisher spray over this AALL & Create stencil called Enchanted Garden.

Next, I took some Paper Artsy paint Slimed and Bougainvillea and just did a quick brush of color on each index card.

Once the paint dried, I stamped each index card to add some texture. I stamped two cards with the Dragonfly Post stamp from Crafty Individuals with Versafine Clair in Cheerful. I stamped the other two cards with the Waterfall stamp by Katzelkraft in Versafine Clair Chianti.

I stamped some floral images by Chou and Flowers Memories and Ha-Pi Secret Garden, then sprayed the cardstock with Lavinia spray in Fruit Sorbet and Bumble Bee. Once the sprays dried, I fussy cut the flowers and stapled them on the index cards.

Feel Alive art journal page + Video

  Welcome back from what I hope was a creative weekend for you all! Today I'm at the Topflight Stamps blog sharing an art journal page featuring stamps from Visible Image. I also played around with the new Lavinia Mystical sprays (love!).

I started with a gesso'd art journal page and sprayed Lavinia sprays in Kingfisher and Amble Green. I was so happy to see that the Kingfisher color has mixes of copper mica as well... such a pretty surprise! Once the sprays dried, I added Paper Artsy Coral paint over the AALL & Create Totally Dotty Stencil. 

Next I used modeling paste over the AALL & Create Digits Checked stencil, which I placed a few times over the page. I then heat embossed the modeling paste using Wow! Golden Glow powder.

Next, I sprayed some white cardstock with Lavinia Mystical spray in Bumble Bee, Kingfisher, and Indian Sunset. I then stamped the Visible Image Spring Awakening stamps on the cardstock. I fussy cut the images and arranged them throughout my journal page.

This page came together really quickly! I departed from my usual colors (a bit) so I might remake the same page with my usual pink, teal, orange :)

Beach Bears Summer Card

  Summer is in full swing here in California! I'm over at the Topflight Stamps blog today sharing this fun beach-themed card. We've been spending a lot of our free time at the beach this summer, so these cute nautical bears from Chou and Flowers were calling my name.

The bears are from the set "Bear Cubs at the Beach". This particular set is sold out on the Topflight Stamps site right now, but there are plenty of other darling nautical images to choose from.

The card was very quick to put together. The bears were colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. The sand uses Hero Arts Sand embossing powder, and the sentiment is from Hero Arts Color Layering Waves set, stamped with Prism Ink in French Navy.

The panel was layered on a piece of kraft cardstock and I dusted off some twine from my stash to tie the whole card together.

Christmas in July with Polkadoodles

  Hello crafters! I'm joyful to be celebrating Christmas in July with the Topflight Stamps team! There's even a huge 25% off sale happening this week on all holiday products in the store. Happy shopping!

The Polkadoodles brand has some super adorable stamps and even paper pads. For the cards I'm sharing today I used Polkadoodles "Latte Christmas Tweetings" stamp set and the Polkadoodles paper pad "Christmas Cheer". 

I colored the sweet images with Copic markers and cut them with my Brother Scan n' Cut. I created a little snowy mountain scene for the sweet bunny and birdies to enjoy. The mountain die is Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Borders and the snowy hill uses Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I then layered the scene on top of a piece of paper from the Polkadoodles paper pad. The layering die is Waffle Flower Lacy Layers.

I created another card that's much more simple and came together quickly. I layered some more Polkadoodles paper to mimic an ornament for the sweet bunny and sentiment to rest on. The die is Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scallop Circles.

Be Brave With Your Life - Art Journal Process Video

Happy 4th of July! Today is also my husband and my 13th wedding anniversary :) We can't wait to watch the fireworks all across the Bay Area tonight.

I've created a bright star-theme art journal page for the occasion. I even made a process video! Thank you for watching and supporting my youtube channel.

I started with some beautiful new-to-me Lavinia Mica Sprays... I'm definitely going back to the Topflight Stamps store to buy aaallllll the colors. After the sprays I added a couple different star stencils. 

For the larger stars I just printed some clipart on printer paper, then retraced them on mixed media paper. This way I could add more sprays and embossing powder to them.

Finally, I heated up some gold tulle from the dollar store and stapled it to the stars. I adhered the stars to my journal and added the Small Talk sticker for the final detail.
