You should have come here from Donna Bowman's blog. Now here's the sweet little Valentine's Day card I created...

Pattern paper is from Studio Calico "Sundrifter" and the image was colored with Copics (C0, C1, C3, C6, R34, R20). The colors are also inspired by the latest Newton's Nook color challenge...

GIVEAWAY TIME! Leave a comment on this blog post by 11:59pm February 3 (Monday night!) to win this pack of Valentine themed goodies!!

Leave a comment to win! Prize includes a Recollections heart border clear stamp set, red flower buttons, coral twine from The Twinery, DCWV chipboard bingo cards, DCWV itsy bitsy tag collection.

You are CUTE!

Oh, how I have missed you all the past couple weeks! There have been a lot of exciting projects happening on my desk that I'll be able to share within the next month (wish it was sooner!). And now they are all finally finished, and I can hit up the blogs again... woohoo!

So a great time to reunite is the Unity Friends with Flair Friday post :) AND make sure to check back tomorrow for an amazing Valentine blog hop event!

I have been loving all these cute ugly couple Unity stamps lately. They make for the sweetest unique Valentine card, don't ya think? The happy couple is such a great image on its own that I didn't add much else to the card. The stamp is colored with Copic markers, sentiment stamped on a handcut banner, and some red mist splatters is all it needed.

This card was inspired by the current Unity Challenge color combo (which I also LOVE!)

Thanks for stopping in and have a fabulous weekend. See you back tomorrow for a fun Valentine hop!

Ugly Couple

Well it has been a long week and I am sure glad it's Friday! Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, so start getting a jump start on those cards for loved ones! My card today is for the Unity Friends with Flair link up today.

This is a new-to-me Unity stamp ("Nicest Place" that I've had my eye on for quite a while. Not sure what took me so long to buy it. I colored these sweet cuties with Copic markers. The pattern paper is from Studio Calico's "Printshop".

Happy Friday. Enjoy your long weekend :)

Magical Birthday

January is a BIG birthday month around here (and September!)... my hubs celebrated his birthday on Monday the 13th, and I see that Lawnscaping is also celebrating their birthday! Celebrations all around :) I made this magical card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge: Let's Party!

I just love this Lawn Fawn set "Critters Ever After". The images create a little whimsical card for any celebration. I colored the images with Copic Markers and fussy cut. I used my Simon Says Stamp "Falling Hearts" stencil with modeling paste to add a bit of dimension.

Thanks for hopping by on this lovely Hump Day! Check out the Lawnscaping Challenge here!

Feelin Groovy

I want to remind you all to visit my blog post from yesterday and comment for a chance to win $50 to Top Dog Dies! You don't wanna miss that :) The tag base today is from Top Dog Dies "Tag Album" die.
***

Well snow keeps on falling, the roads are icy, and the sky is cloudy and grey... so I think we all just need some COLOR back in our lives! The new Unity Inspiration color challenge is a perfect pick-me-up!

Combined with the VW Bus, don't these colors feel very 70's?? I love it. The stamp is Unity "Something Groovy" itty bitty and I colored it with Copics, cut it out, and added it to the tag with foam dots.

The fun papers and flair badge are from Dear Lizzy "Lucky Charm" and the enamel dots are My Mind's Eye "Sweet Thing" collection.

This post is my first Friends with Flair for 2014! Hop on over to my post from yesterday for a chance to win $50 gift card!

Love Tag Album with Top Dog Dies

I've been so excited about today's post, where I get to be a guest over at Top Dog Dies! I have two cards that are being shared over at the Top Dog Dies blog, and a little mini album to share here. And... an amazing giveaway!!!

Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including My Favorite Things, Sizzix, Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by U.K. designer Stephanie Weightman.

A sweet album to fill in with love notes for your Valentine :) I was so happy with the Tag Album die, it was able to cut every piece of this cardstock together in one pass! The glitter letters were cut with the Vintage Alphabet die and DCWV Glitzy glitter.

I incorporated some extra embellishments from DCWV Vintage Collector line. The style of the Vintage Alphabet die fit really for the Valentine theme of the album.

And the Tag Album die cut like buttah on the burlap!

Now for the fun part... GIVEAWAY! Top Dog Dies is giving a $50 gift card to one comment below! To have a chance to win, just sign up on the Top Dog Dies giveaway page! Then leave your comments here to enter. You can earn up to 5 entries by following Top Dog Dies...

Be You (good lookin')

I really hope you all are staying warm during this crazy bout of weather. We're going to drop 40 degrees in about 12 hours, so we've got the blankets out and are fortunate to have our heat and electricity working.

The DCWV blog takeover is in full swing... the design team has so many Vintage Collector projects to share. The cards I'm sharing today are my personal favorites. They are perfect for a best friend or Valentine in your life.

One of the coolest new embellishments in the Vintage Collector line are the mirror stickers. I really wanted to combine the great sentiment with a positive message - Be the type of person you want to meet... Be you (and then take a glimpse of yourself in the mirror!)

I used this same theme to create a fun Valentine card for the guy in your life

And just to prove how awesome these little mirror stickers are....

hey that's me
There are a lot more beautiful projects over on the DCWV blog, so be sure to stop by! All of the new embellishments (40 of them!) are available now at Michael's!

Puppy Selfie

Have you heard the news about the 'most annoying' words of 2013? Well the verdict is in, and Americans are annoyed by the words 'Selfie' and 'Twerk'... I thought those seemed pretty dead on for the year! So on New Year's Eve, Kiwi and I decided to honor the word 'Selfie' is some true selfie fashion.

Kiwi has definitely perfected the lovely duck face and yawny face. She's teaching me some great selfie faces, too. The layout uses papers and embellishments from the new DCWV Vintage Collector line. If you haven't already... run to your nearest Michael's to pick up all the goodies in this gorgeous collection!

The larger chevron pattern is actually new DCWV washi tape! It's fabulous! The journaling was done on a DCWV adhesive label :)

Have you taken your #puppyselfie today? Be sure to visit the DCWVinc blog for more great Vintage Collector projects.

January Sketch 3 Ways

Have you stopped by the DCWV blog yet today?? I'm so excited to guest post the January Stack-a-Holic Challenge and help showcase some brand-spankin'-new DCWV embellishments! In case you missed it...

A full collection of over 40 embellishment packs that all coordinate perfectly! Stamps, brads, ribbons, paper tapes, mat stacks, fabric stacks, buttons, die cuts, stickers.... the list goes on! Check out Erin's big release video to see every item and then run to your local Michael's store to grab it all ;)

Sketch from pagemaps.com

My Martha's Vineyard layout uses the Vintage Collector stack and mat stack cardstock. I also used new Vintage Collector embellishments from the ribbons, die cuts, brads, stamps, paper tape, and frames.

I looooove the die cut sticker pack and those epoxy labels. So many fun options for layouts and cards.
