Lovebirds

Happy Monday everyone! I'm over at the Topflight Stamps blog today sharing this sweet little birdie card. This card features a darling mini stamp from JOFY. I love adding mini stamps to my stash because they're affordable, versatile, and always super cute!

I really enjoyed coloring a variety of birds in funky colors, and I picked my two favorite for the card. The stamp is JOFY Mini Stamp #20 and I colored the birds with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. When you receive the stamp, it is all connected as one piece. I cut the images apart so I could use them more freely... I promise no stamps were harmed in the making of this card!

The background was created by first making my own circle mask using a large circle die. I placed the circle mask on top of my card panel, then place the AALL + Create Hung Up on Hearts stencil on top. I blended over the stencil using Prism Inks in Canary Yellow and Camelia Pink. I was sure to overlap some of the ink to mix a subtle orange color in the center. I then removed the AALL + Create stencil and lightly blended the edge of the circle with Prism Ink Arctic Mist to make the shape more defined. Finally, I stamped the sentiment multiple times using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Thanks for stopping in! I hope you have a very creative week ahead!

3 Valentine Cards with Lawn Fawn

As the month of January wraps up, the cardmaking world is looking ahead to Valentine's Day cards. If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen these! Today I'm sharing three sweet cards for the big day, all featuring stamps from Lawn Fawn. I was also inspired to make these cards for the Lawnfawnatics "Lots of Heart" challenge.

You'll notice that all of my cards today also feature those mini stamps that Lawn Fawn sells for just a few bucks. These stamps usually have a fun punny phrase to match with a sweet little critter. My first card uses "Stinkin' Cute" combined with little flowers and grass from the Butterfly Kisses set. The background was created with a Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts stencil with gold paint. All of the images were colored with Copic Markers and cut with my Brother Scan n Cut machine.

Llama tell you... I like you! I enjoyed creating this card with the different cardstock layers matching the sweet llama. The used the Lawn Fawn stamp "Llama Tell You" paired with cactus from the "Stuck on You" stamps. The cardstock is die cut with the Nordic Frames die from The Greetery. The background is created with the Heffy Doodle Confetti Hearts stencil and gold paint. These images were also cut using my Brother Scan n Cut machine.

You're my stud puffin! My last card uses Lawn Fawn's Stud Puffin set paired with Christmas Fishes for the rocks. All images were colored with Copic Markers and cut in my Brother Scan n Cut machine. For the background I used the Falling Hearts stencil with Deco Foil transfer gel duo. I let the gel dry overnight, then ran it through my Big Shot with gold foil from Gina K.

Thanks for stopping by! Get going on those Valentine's Day cards!

Sunny Days Ahead

I know many of you are shivering under sheets of ice and blankets of snow these days. I thought I'd bring out some sunny California cheers for those who are feeling like the warm weather may never come back!

This card features stamps, dies, and stencils from The Greetery "Destination" series, mostly from the "Destination: Summer" set. I love all of the small images that can easily be combined in any way you wish. I was going for a Southern California vibe with this card!

I inked the stencil using Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Lemonade, and Tumbled Glass. The images are stamped with a variety of colored inks, but I mainly used Hero Arts Shadow Inks as those give me the best coverage on my stamps.

Sunny days are on the way! (I promise!)

This next card has more desert vibes. Think: Palm Springs meets Lake vibes.

I hope you enjoyed a little but of sunshine!

You Make me a Happy Camper

Hello and happy Monday. I'm over at the Topflight Stamps blog sharing this outdoorsy card. I have a card today that brings back great memories! As a child my family took many trips to the beautiful national parks in our country. We would always camp, never stay at a hotel. So stamp sets like "Happy Camper" from Jane's Doodles always speak to my inner child.

To create this card I first stamped the little stars on my cardstock panel and heat embossed them in Wow! Coconut embossing powder. Then I inked the sky to look like a dark night in the wilderness using Distress inks in Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, and Tumbled Glass. I used a Lawn Fawn die for the grass and colored with Distress Inks Shabby Shutters and Crushed Olive.

The images were all colored with Copic markers and fussy cut with my detail scissors. I popped the camper up with foam adhesive to help it stand out. Lastly, the darling sentiment and arrows were stamped to the bottom of the card.

Thanks for stopping in! Happy camping!

Flower ATC Trio + Video

Hello everyone and happy weekend! I'm over on the Topflight Stamps blog today to share some colorful ATCs I created featuring beautiful stamps from Ha-Pi Little Fox. I also have a quick video showing you how they all came together.

I created all three ATCs at the same using almost all the same products. This makes the creations very quick to make with beautiful results! I started by painting each ATC with some Paper Artsy Fresco paints. The colors I used are Amethyst, White Fire, Bougainvillea, Caribbean Sea, and Limelight.

I then used the Honeycomb stencil by Darkroom Door with black paint to add a bold contrast to the fun bright colors. I added some small dots with the Paper Artsy paint around the stencil. Then I stamped the beautiful Ha-Pi Little Fox "Secret Garden" flower stamps on each ATC using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I also stamped each image again onto white cardstock and fussy cut the images. I only added the cut image using a Tiny Attacher stapler, so it appeared to have more dimension and pop up a little.

Finally, I added a small encouraging sentiment sticker to each ATC and did some paint splatter on top.

Thanks for joining me! Please enjoy the quick process video here!

To My Prince Charming mixed media tag + Video

Are you ready to meet your prince charming? :) Today I'm sharing a mixed media Valentine's Day tag using products from Topflight Stamps. I also have a bonus companion card to share AND a process video.

The frog is from a fun stamp set by Hobby Art Ltd. called "Limited Edition". I colored him with Neocolor II Crayons on Strathmore watercolor paper. The background was created with the Heffy Doodle Confetti Hearts stencil that I used with Structure Paste and Wow! Embossing Glitter

I fell in love with this frog so much that I also created a card to go along with the tag.

I used very similar products on the card as I did with the tag. The card uses a few extra accessory stamps from the same "Limited Edition" stamp set, like accenting the edges with the stamped arrows. For the card, the frog is colored with Copic markers

Thanks for joining me today! Have you started your Valentine's Day cards yet?

Magical Birthday

Sometimes a card just makes me so unbelievably happy that I decide it actually deserves a blog post (!!!) rather than just an instagram post. Bonus points because this happens to be for my husband who is celebrating his 35th birthday soon! This little dragon with his birthday accessories is really putting a smile on my face...

I started by creating a circle mask to use with the Simon Says Stamp Clouds for Days stencil. The clouds are shaded with a Taylored Expressions blender brush and Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. The dragon and balloons are colored with Copic markers and fussy cut with my favorite Cutter Bee detail scissors. The dragon is from the mini Lawn Fawn set "Winter Dragon" and the birthday accessories are from one of my first ever Lawn Fawn sets "Party Animal".

Copics used:

Dragon: BG11, BG34, BG23, BG49, BG09, YG05, YG07

Balloons and Accessories: Y06, Y08, Y19

To create the sentiment I actually combined words from 3 different Lawn Fawn sets! I love that they are so easy to mix and match for a seamless creation. I used "Year Seven", "Butterfly Kisses" and "Winter Dragon" to put the sentiment together. Have a MAGICAL birthday!

I'm entering this card into the Lawnfawnatics Let's Celebrate challenge.

Supplies Used:

Lawn Fawn stamps: Winter Dragon, Party Animal, Year Seven, Butterfly Kisses

Stencil: Simon Says Stamp Clouds for Days

Distress Inks: Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed

Copics: various colors (see above)

Waffle Flower A2 Lacy Layers Die

Topflight Stamps Newest Design Team Member

Happy New Year! I'm excited to share that I have joined the Topflight Stamps design team for 2022! I have two new cards to share with some cute and new-to-me stamp sets from Time for Tea Designs.

I have quickly fallen in love with the adorable images from Time for Tea Designs and the sets are so easy to mix and match with one another. I used the Time for Tea stamp sets "Car Critters" and "Grateful for You Background" to put together this scene. This little llama looks so smitten to be driving around the glittered Andes mountains with his winter scarf!

The images were colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut with my favorite Cutter Bee detail scissors. The llama is popped up on Scotch foam tape to make sure he's the star of the card. The "Hey!" sentiment is stamped with Prism Ink in Blackcurrant Jam and I inked the banner border with Arctic Mist.

I had so much fun playing with the images in the Car Critters stamp set that I threw together another bonus card...

This darling little panda is clearly living her best life in her hot pink convertible. She's going on a shopping spree for sure :) I lightly inked the scene with Prism Ink "Rainforest Green" for the grass and Prism Ink "Arctic Mist" for the sky. I used Prism Ink "Slate Grey" for the sweet sentiment, which is perfect for a graduation or new beginnings card.

Thanks for popping in and I wish you all a healthy 2022 year ahead!
