Unity Hop!

Unity Stamp Co is on their way to 60,000 Facebook friends!! If you haven't already, go LIKE Unity on Facebook! You know there is a huge SALE to honor this big milestone. But first I need to share a couple cards I created with some NEW releases!

The adorable "Hello Birdie" stamp kit will be FREE after a $60 purchase. I just love love love the happy birdie and that happy flower. This is such a perfect stamp kit for spring and summer.

My card even made it on the Unity sale graphic! I think this is my first time being on a sale banner, so I'm pretty excited about it :)

I stamped the flower first and piled the birdies on top of each other. I colored them with Copic Markers and added detail with the Copic Colorless Blender (0). The 0 marker actually takes color away so it leaves behind the white spots. I fussy cut the whole image together.

Like that fun bright polka dot paper? It's BRAND NEW from DCWV called "Chick Chat" and will be available at Michael's stores very very soon!

My next card uses a brand new Angie Girl Unity stamp. It will be perfect for birthday cards...

She's so cute with her party banner and cupcake! I also colored her with Copic Markers. I matted the HB2U sentiment and cut the heart banners with the same DCWV Chick Chat paper.

Now time for some big sales! There are a LOT of freebies this weekend. With every $10 you spend you get a free sentiment stamp (up to 6 free stamp at $60).

We have TWO amazing Unity filled prize packages to giveaway.  Leave a comment on EACH blog in the hop (including the Unity blog) for your chance to win.  The winners will be announced Monday night on the Unity blog.

Now keep on hopping for more inspiration! And happy shopping!

Love

Somebunny Birthday

Now that Valentine's Day is a distant memory, it's time to focus on SPRING! Too bad it was -18 degrees this morning! Think of this card today as wishing thinking of warm days ahead...

I just received my FIRST EVER My Favorite Things stamp set, BB Somebunny, and I had to ink it immediately. I used the cute bunny and birdie image to create this adorable birthday scene. I was inspired by the current MFT Sketch Challenge...

I colored the images with my Peerless Watercolors that I'm so obsessed with and just fussy cut them once they dried. I created a circle mask to stamp the background in yellow ink with Unity's Painted Punchinella stamp.

I added a strip of gorgeous May Arts ribbon and tied some Lawn Fawn twine in a bow. I stamped the adorable sentiment in grey and created a 'fake' banner to go across the card. I finished it all off with some clear Wink of Stella and added Glossy Accents to the balloon.

Annnnnd with that, it's now time to watch Prince Farming on The Bachelor :) haha

Love,
Rachel

3 Cards to Celebrate PTI

Papertrey Ink is busy celebrating 8 years of beautiful stamps and hosting a lot of fun challenges and giveaways! Yesterday, while I watched the ice and snow fall from the sky, I got super busy playing with some of my admittedly neglected gorgeous PTI stamps. So I have THREE cards to share today to go along with THREE different challenges going on at Nichole Heady's blog :)

This card was created for the Build a Bouquet Challenge. I used a stamp set that I LOVE but just haven't pulled out in a while, the Mini Blooms Set. I also used my VersaMagic chalk inks for the first time in a long while and I'm glad I did. I ended up building six different mini bouquets, fussy cut them, and then rebuilt them into two larger bouquets on the card.

Thinking of You Card SUPPLIES:

My next card is for the Maile Belles Inspiration challenge! I am SO excited she is back to design stamps again for Papertrey Ink. This was an easy challenge for me since I adore almost every card this woman creates. I used my PTI Bubble Talk stamp set (yes, designed by Maile Belles!) and recreated my favorite card that Maile made with this set...
MEILE BELLES BUBBLE TALK CARD
I used the same design and really just changed out the colors of the stamps and the embellishments. I was clearly still in a blue/purple mood from my first card. I've been adhering the sequins with my new Mini Dots from Glue Dots, and I wish I had been using this product for the past 3 years! It makes the embellishment step so much quicker!

Just Sayin' Card SUPPLIES:

My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots http://goo.gl/diRYbL

My last card for today was created using the Sketch and Color Combo challenge! Here are the recipes I used for my card...

After all that blue and purple I needed to spice up my colors a bit, so this color recipe really grabbed my attention.

Bonus - This card also uses a NEVER INKED Papertrey stamp set (On the Farm) which is the challenge just announced today(Spring into Action challenge). My dear friend Donna got me this stamp set for my birthday (in September! ack!) and I finally got around to opening up those stamps. Really not sure what took me so long, since I just love this entire set to pieces. I had fun created a little farm scene on my tag!

Sweet Ellie and WINNER

Did you see the newest Stamp of the Week at Unity? This adorable Sweet Ellie is beyond cute. I wanted to share my card on my own blog today since this stamp is just TOO CUTE!

The adorable elephant was colored with pink Copic markers and I added some subtle dots with the Colorless Blender (0). All paper is from Crate Paper "Kiss Kiss" 6x6 pad, which I'm obsessing over lately. I love how versatile this sweet stamp is. Just switch the sentiment and she can be used for any type of card!

I also need to announce my WINNER from the 5 for 5 Valentine's event! Congratulations JANIS! You have been randomly selected to win my goodie prize box! Please email me your address at rwkrafts(at)gmail(dot)com WOOHOO!

Punny Days at Unity!

Valentine's Day is creeeeeeping up on us and it'll be here sooner than you think! Unity is prepared with a bunch of brand new PUN stamps and overall adorable itty bitties. You'll definitely find something you NEED to buy this week, I know it!

I was searching for a stamp and sentiment just like this one about two weeks ago... for my father in law :) It may be too late to give to him, but this card is ready for the next birthday in line! (sorry, mom!) I love the adorable skunk and all of his witty sentiments that he comes with.

To create this card, I started with a square card base from grey cardstock and layered two squares of patterned paper from Crate Paper "Kiss Kiss" collection. I tied a gorgeous black and white ribbon from May Arts to give the skunk something to stand on. The skunk is colored with Copic markers and popped up with foam adhesive. Finally, I splattered the card with my Gold Wink of Stella glitter pen.

I ADORE these adorable birdies. They are so cute and perfect for so many different occasions. My little birdies are dangling in the night sky, watching the stars and hoping Mercury falls out of Retrograde soon ;) All while welcoming new comers to their hood!

To create this card, I started with a standard A2 size card base in navy blue. I layered the star pattern paper from Crate Paper "Kiss Kiss" and then added two squares (see how similar the design is to the skunk card. easy peasy!) of DCWV Glitzy Glitter paper and DCWV Foiled Vellum paper. The birds and the sentiment were colored with Copic Markers and I added some light blue rhinestones to finish off the card.

This is a FUN PUN sale all weekend long! Of course there are plenty of other stamps on sale, so be sure to browse the shop to find what you need!

We have TWO amazing Unity filled prize packages to giveaway.  Leave a comment on EACH blog in the hop (including the Unity blog) for your chance to win.  The winners will be announced Monday night on the Unity blog.

My time here is up, so go visit the amazing SHILO next!
