As much as I love spooky season, it feels good to create some winter cards now! The brand new Joy for You collection from Simon Says Stamp just dropped and it is filled with fantastically festive stamps and dies! Today I have a wintery card featuring the darling Here Comes Santa Claus set.
The Here Comes Santa Claus set is filled with solid silhouette-type images that are fantastic for scene building.
I was having fun with winter pastels, so I started by stamping all the houses in a variety of candy-like pastel colors. The inks I used Concord and 9th inks in the colors Creamsicle, Pink Lemonade, and Aqua Sky.
The base of my scene is anchored by this fantastic 3D embossing folder from Simon Hurley. I loved all of the great silhouettes of children, carolers, and even Santa himself, that I wanted to fit as many as I could on the card! This is such a fun stamp set with so many possibilities... I can't wait to see what other create!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you've been inspired!
