Tweet Tweet! I saw this adorable little birdie set on the big Concord and 9th sale and I actually placed a separate order just for them. How could I have missed them the first time!?
The first step is using the Tweet Life stencils to ink up the bodies and wings of your little birdies. I ink blended in 5 main colors: Lemongrass, Brickyard, Sea Glass, Grapefruit, and Juniper. I used my mini C9 brushes for all of the blending. The small brushes helped to keep all the different colors separated.
The darling accents to the birds come from the Tweet Life stamp set, which I inked up in Black.
My color palette was inspired by the latest color challenge to use the new Brickyard color. I mostly followed a color combo that C9 calls "Storybook", however I swapped out the Grasshopper color for Juniper because I needed my greens to be a little more different from one another.
The sentiment is from the Mix and Match Everyday Sentiment stamp and die set, stamped in black ink. I used my Spellbinders Platinum Diecutting machine to cut out all the pieces. This set is really fun because you can mix and match all the words to create whatever sentiment you wish.
Have a happy Sunday!
