You Tug my Heart Strings - Unity Hop

Did you see ALL the Unity new releases today?! There are a TON of them, mini kits, for a crazy affordable price, and some darling designs... they will be featured all over the Unity Hop today so I hope you've been inspired! The other exciting part of the hop is a NEW Unity {Be Inspired} Challenge! Let's hop right to it...

I created this card for the color challenge portion and I also used a new stamp that releases today ;)

The hearts are colored in a variety of Copic Markers in the BV, V, RV, B, and BG family. I added tiny fuchsia dots along the card as a way to connect the heart image down to the sentiment. Three of the hearts are covered with my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen (clear) and then a thin coat of Glossy Accents.

Now this is my favorite part of the card! I recently watched a video by Sandy Allnock where she mimicked the look of watercolor using only Copic markers. So that's what I did here and my husband actually thought it was watercolor (success!!). Since I tried a new technique, I'm linking this card up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Something New. It also fits perfectly in the January Mixed Media Monthly Challenge for Something New ;)

Next up is a card I created just for fun using a new map of the world stamp with a fabulous quote from Robin Williams.

There are so many ideas I have for this stamp! Mostly in the watercolor realm. But this time I used a lot of fussy glue penning and glittering (real words). Each continent has been covered in a different sparkly color (glitters are Wow! glitter from American Crafts).

I also wanted to share my latest postcard for Faber Castell Design Memory Craft. I created an easy watercolor using only Unity Stamps and Gelatos...

Time for Unity PRIZES! Two commenters throughout the hop will receive this great prize pack, which includes Layers of Life stamps (a subscription only stamp!) So make sure to leave those comments for your chance to win!

And there will be big sales and, like I said, a LOT of new releases! Visit the Unity Stamp Co website to see them all and to start shopping!

Your next stop is the always amazing SHILO

Love,
Rachel
