My Top 14 of 2014

Now that the holiday chaos has settled I wanted to take some time to look back at my favorite projects of 2014. Picking these projects was actually really difficult! But it was fun to look back through every. single. blog. post. No really, it was a great trip down crafty memory lane :)

This project with DCWV and Faber Castell is my favorite of the year for a couple reasons. This was my first mixed media 'art' piece that I created and was really proud of. I even gave it to my best friend for her birthday. Check out the original post here!

I love my Stag! This was a really fun project to put together using DCWV Wall Zoo decor products. This little guy took a few days to complete but I love the finished product. Super shameless plus... it's for sale in my Etsy shop ;) Check out the original post here!

Double page layouts are not my thang. So I was thrilled with how well this one turned out. It also shows photos from my husband's and my 5th anniversary, so it's extra special. Check out the original post here!

This card was created for my parents, who are avid campers/hikers/backpackers/travelers. I also think this is one of my mom's favorite cards, so that makes it extra special for me. Check out the original post here!

Matt went on a fun solo trip in Maine and brought back some amazing pictures! This layout was also featured on the Paper Issues blog! Check out the original post here!

The card itself here isn't the most show stopping card... but I remember I was super proud of the Copic coloring I did on those suitcases. I was so damn proud of them! Check out the original post here!

Our sweet little boy, Meeko, turned 8 years old in May! He is officially a senior in dog years. This mini album is filled with pictures from his birthday celebration. To see more photos of the inside and the original post, click here!

Sometimes a cheerful and colorful tag is all you need :) Check out the original post here!

Another card that holds a special place in my heart... This was my card in my first ever Unity Stamp Thursday blog hop as an official Unity design team member :) That was a very happy moment for me this year! Check out the original post here!

My first mini album with my Zutter Bind it All! Nautical is never out of season :) Check out the original post here!

Another fun Unity card (do you sense a trend?)! This was sort of my start at bringing mixed media techniques into my cards and not just art journals. Check out the original post here!

I made this layout on National Scrapbooking Day 2014. It's a shock I got as many layouts finished in one day as I did, and this one became a favorite of the year. Check out the original post here!

Having fun in my art journal with Unity Stamps. I shared this page in a recent Friends with Flair post at the Unity site. Check out the original post here!

My last favorite project of 2014 was my first ever YouTube tutorial video. I hope to make many many more in 2015! You can watch the video here and I'd love if you SUBSCRIBED to my channel!

Thank you thank you for such a wonderful, crafty, and supportive 2014!! I'm really looking forward to what 2015 has in store!

Love,
Rachel

  5. Since you asked.....while the deer made me giggle, my absolute favorite is your peas, peas, peas card. It made me laugh out loud. A close second is your Winter Foxes card. Loved the vellum over the woodsy scene. I also really liked the Watercolor Calligraphy Enjoy a The Little Things card. I could go on..... ;)

  6. It's got to be your double-page layout. You, Matt, and all your fur babies (including Pumpkin). Just love the feel of relaxing I get looking at it.
