April My Monthly Hero - Plant Lady Society 🪴

Happy April and no foolin here. The April My Monthly Hero kit just dropped and it's sooooo much fun! I have 5 (FIVE!) cards to share in this post, so hang tight...

I saw that greenhouse die in the main kit and, well, I had to make a greenhouse! The kit comes with both a solid background die and a separate frame die, so it made it very easy to create this shape card. And so you know what I'm talking about, here is a photo of everything included in the My Monthly Hero April Kit...

Everything on my greenhouse card (except the sentiment) is from the single greenhouse die set. All of the different plants... and the cat! I really love this. Immediately after creating this card I mailed it to my mom for her birthday and she absolutely LOVED it. She is a plant and cat lady at heart 🪴🐈

My second card with the MMH kit uses the fun and unique stamps from the House Plants stamp and die set. I really loved the funky head/face plants and wanted them to stand on their own.

I stamped and colored every single image in that dang stamp set! I also ink splattered the background to add a little texture and let the focus land on those head-shaped plants.

Now for the third card using the MMH kit...

As I mentioned above, I loved this stamp set and colored every single image. I thought it's be fun to use the watering can to "grow girl" that face plant. Of course, I used my favorite Postage Stamp Infinity Dies and the background is stamped with the Whimsy Floral cling stamp with Unicorn White Ink.

Ok now it's time to share a couple cards with the My Monthly SUPER Hero Kit! The super hero kit gives you THREE extra sets in addition to the main kit...

The first card with the Super Hero kit follows the same idea of the watering can in my card above...

There are soooo many beautiful flower dies included with the super hero kit. If you're a flower lover, you absolutely need it!

How cute is that watering can? I love the look of the flowers sprouting out of it and pouring flowers.

Now this is my final card! I went crazy die cutting all the gorgeous flowers. I wanted to add so many to the vase that this card had to turn into a slimline, measuring about 6" tall.

Almost all of the cardstock used for these is from the Colorwheel collection, and all dies are cut using my trusty Spellbinders Platinum 8.

Thank you for stopping by today! You want to make sure to subscribe to either the My Monthly Hero Kit or the My Monthly Super Hero Kit to ensure it doesn't sell out on you!

In My Heart Collection - Best Mom Ever

It's time for a new Simon Says Stamp release! This release is called In My Heart and I'm showcasing a card that features the "Thanks, Mom" stamp set...

The sentiments are perfect for an anytime card, a birthday, mother's day, thank you's etc etc. I love a multi-use set! I used the "Best Mom Ever" sentiment heat embossed in white. Fun fact! March 19th is my mom's birthday!! So I turned this into a celebratory card to send to her.

The Layered Party Hats Stencil really pulled this card into the birthday theme for my mom. It is a 4 layer stencil that I inked with Concord and 9th inks: Ballet Slippers, Fig, Lakefront, and Grapefruit.

The sentiment was embossed on the Lakefront Cardstock that was cut from Eyelet Ovals Dies. I also layered a larger Eyelet Ovals die with white glitter paper.

Happy birthday, mama!!!
Oh, and happy half birthday to me 😀

C9 Guest Design - Briar Blooms

The final day of my Concord and 9th guest design share is here! I've had so much fun working with this month's release and am sad it's over! Today I'm showcasing the stunning Briar Blooms Bundle...

The flower dies in Briar Blooms are just stunning and can be used in so many different designs. My first card pieces the flowers around the sweet banner die. The "have a beautiful day" sentiment is stamped in the gorgeous Rainforest Ink (my personal favorite color!).

Both cards today have a background panel embossed with the Wood Slat embossing folder. This folder is a perfect match with the Briar Blooms!

The wreath die is included in the set, and makes it very easy to piece your die cut flowers on top.

Both of my cards use the same color combo of cardstocks, just mixed in different ways. I love how different they look even with the same palette. Cardstocks used are: Cayenne, Espresso, Rainforest, Creamsicle, Sea Glass, and Pimento.

C9 Guest Design - Lotsa Pasta

Today is a fun release from Concord and 9th called Lotsa Pasta. If you love a good Turnabout Stamp, this bundle is for you!

The Lotsa Pasta Turnabout Stamp has such fun pasta designs mixed throughout the stamp. The inks I used for the turnabout portion are: Wheat, Cayenne, Sunflower, and Clementine. I then cut the finished stamped panel diagonally and added it to Cayenne Cardstock.

The Lotsa Pasta Die Set is fiiillllleed with fun shapes! Every pasta imaginable! I cut some simple bow tie pastas to sprinkle throughout the card. Then finished it off the sentiment stamped in Cayenne Ink on Sand cardstock.

I just love the forks! I cut the forks from Matte Silver cardstock and wrapped them in some tomato covered spaghetti :)

C9 Guest Design - Simple Stems

Time for another C9 March release card! Today I'm sharing a card using the simply lovely Simple Stems bundle.

This Simple Stems set is perfect for those quick but impactful cards, and the sentiments are great pick-me-up messages. You can leave the stamp unpierced if stitching isn't your thing. I did simple cardstock matting with Ballet Slipper and Sunflower.

I stamped the bottle and sentiment in Black Ink, the stems in Evergreen Ink, and the petals in Sunflower Ink. I did run the matching piercing die through my die cutting machine, and did some simple stitches with Wildberry thread.

Such a simple and quick card. The set is darling!

C9 Guest Design - Retro Radio

It's time to show off the Retro Radio set by Concord and 9th!

How cute is this?! I love the radio and how personalized it can be. The sentiments are a lot of fun, too.
The cardstock used for this card is: Lemongrass, Almond, Grapefruit, Sea Glass, and of course - Champagne.

To tie the card together, I stamped the sentiments in Lemongrass Ink to match the cardstock used. I also added some music notes (included in the bundle!) that were cut from Sea Glass Cardstock.

This card has such a different vibe, mainly just by switching up the cardstock colors. The radio on my second card was put together with these cardstocks: Sea Glass, Midnight, Nectar, Pimento, and Stardust. Oh, and another shiny cardstock: Silver.

I created the background by stamping all of the little music note stamps with Nectar Ink repeatedly. It adds a fun subtle effect to the card! The "hello" is also included in the Retro Radio die set.

C9 Guest Designer - Petal Path

Welcome back to day 2 of C9 inspiration for the new March release! Today I have 3 cards to share that feature the beautiful Petal Path Bundle.

The Petal Path Inlay Die cuts allll these beautiful flower bits that you then piece back in. I love this style of die because once you cut your various pieces of colored cardstock, you essentially have what you need to make multiple different cards! The beautiful Petal Path stamp set has sentiments that will shape beautifully throughout the card.

All the cards today use the same cardstock color palette: Sunflower, Midnight, Dragon Fruit, Parsley, and Aqua Sky. I used the same set of die pieces to put all these card together quickly.

With the leftover bits from the first card, this one was able to come together! It has a completely different look just by changing the back panel color. For this card, I stamped the sentiment in White Ink.

My last card uses just the flower bits and not the inlay plate...

I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Wood Slat embossing folder to add some interest to an otherwise simple design. Then pieced together a couple of the flower bits from the previous cards. Midnight and Dragon Fruit is such a preppy color combo - I absolutely love it.

I switched up the sentiment for this one and used the banner die and "have a beautiful day" stamp from the new Briar Blooms bundle.

C9 Guest Designer! - Toast Time

I am so very very excited to be one of Concord and 9'th March Guest Designers!!

Today we're kicking off the release with the super fun Toast Time set! I believe all three of us picked this as our favorite set out there. I have two cards to share - one savory and one sweet :)

Cutest dessert toast I've ever seen! This card features the Toast Time Bundle, just look at that fun stamped sentiment. You will definitely want to grab both the stamps and the dies for this one. I also added the corner die cut which is from an older C9 release called Festive Corner Cuts.

Now for the cardstock color breakdown!
Toast base: Wheat and Peanut cardstock
Strawberries: Grapefruit and Sorbet cardstock
Blueberries: Midnight and Blueberry cardstock
Bananas: Ivory and Shortbread
Napkin: Watermelon
Background Panel: Powder

Now for a savory breakfast toast! The set allows for so much mixing and matching, no toasts will be the same. I went with an avocado toast theme on this card... and of course a punny sentiment.

And now for the cardstock breakdown -
Toast base: Wheat and Peanut
Avocado spread: Avocado cardstock shaded with Avocado ink
Tomato: Brickyard and Pimento

Thank you for stopping by for Toast Time! I'll be sharing more C9 cards over the next several days so be sure to come back.

You The Real MVP

Welcome Back! The brand new March Spellbinders Club Kits have dropped! These kits will be perfect for Father's Day, Mother's Day, or to send a Just Because card.

How cute is this hat!? I have visions of it being fully bedazzled, circa early 2000s. In that age's true fashion, I decided to recreate an Arizona Diamondbacks hat with the colors that they USED to have before switching to black and red (terrible decision).

This is the March Stitching Die of the Month, but I actually really like the look without stitching thread. I'm fully satisfied with the color showing through the holes! Love that look. I used cardstocks in Violet, Teal Topaz, and Raven. I also embossed the background with an older SB folder called Sun Rays.

My Monthly Hero - Holy Cow!

The My Monthly Hero kit continues to BE AMAZING and the March kit is no different! I have three cards to share today with this udderly legen-dairy kit...

This first card uses the My Monthly Super Hero kit, which includes those darling milk and cookie dies. I also used the little cow stamp in the set to create my own background for the card by simply stamping him multiple times in Granite ink.

My next card focuses on just the main My Monthly Hero kit...

I really really love that cow print stencil. I also had fun putting together my little milk carton. There are so many different ways to make it "your own". I personally grew up with Lucerne milk cartons in my fridge, so that blue and white color is what I had to replicate. For this card, I used Cornflower ink as the blue shade inspiration (which has quickly become a favorite).

The milk carton die has options to make either an open carton, a closed carton, or a carton with a little twist cap. I just love that they thought of everything!

And now for a little (citrus) twist.....

When I realized that one of the dies was a little twist cap, I instantly thought of orange juice. Again, growing up, our orange juice was typically a classic Tropicana carton with a good ol' twist top. I instantly knew I had to make it happen!

I combined the new My Monthly Hero kit with one of my favorite releases from last year, the "I Pick You" collection. I used the apple die from Apple Frame Etched Dies to turn them into oranges. I also used the lovely apple tree stamp from In the Orchard to turn that into an orange tree for the background. I grew up with orange trees in my yard, so we either had fresh squeezed OJ available during peak season, or Tropicana in the winter. But there was always OJ! Finally, the sentiment is stamped from the Apple Branch set.

Be sure to check out this kit because they have been selling out quickly!
