Happy NSD 2015

Happy National Scrapbooking Day (or weekend)!! It really is one of the weekends I look forward to the most in our little hobby. Here's a quick recap of the few things I created yesterday and today...

This layout was scraplifted from Meaghan Colder-Losier for a Paper Issues Friends and Fans challenge. I used a lot of Crate Paper "Kiss Kiss" collection and mixed in some fun tickets from My Mind's Eye "Up and Away".

The photo was taken just last week, when my bestie was visiting CT from AZ. We all got together to eat delicious food truck thai food on the Yale lawn. It was beautiful!

I had a lot of fun with this mixed-media scrapbook page! It was created for the Butterfly Reflections May Mood Board shown above. I started by coating the triangle pattern paper with an extreeemmmeelllyyy thin coat of gesso (so thin it dried instantly). Then I scribbled on some Gelatos in warm tones. Next I rubbed all of the gesso across the page with a baby wipe. Using the baby wipe is SO much faster than rubbing with your fingers. I added some more texture to the page with a 12x12 stencil from The Crafter's Workshop TCW507 - The Story and Whipped Spackle. Once the Whipped Spackle was dry I lightly inked over it with some Distress Ink.

My bright PEZ layout follows the Sketchy Saturday sketch at Paper Issues. I wanted to use fun colorful papers that reminded me of Pez candy. The photo is of my friend and I visiting the PEZ Factory and museum in Orange, Connecticut. The title is the actual font that pez brand uses :)

Lastly I have a mini accordion album filled with Meeko and Me selfies :) The mini album is from DCWV, and it came together so quickly! I just added a paper mat, washi tape, and some ribbon to finish it off. You can watch the 15 second video of it here!...
