MMMC #27 - TRAVEL

AUGUST! I can't believe we're nearing the end of summer already, but hopefully you've had some great vacation time! The August Mixed Media Monthly Challenge theme is TRAVEL... create any mixed media project that's inspired by traveling. Have fun!

We have a very special guest this month, Lindsay Weirich from The Frugal Crafter! She is also our prize sponsor, offering a FREE SPOT in her newest Crafty class called Mix It Up Mixed Media! There will also be a 50% off coupon code available for the MMMC players... check the MMMC blog to get it!!

Alright now for my project! This is one of those art journal pages that starts out with a pretty focused theme (travel) but goes in a very different direct... I guess I just had the ocean on my mind!

Well I started with a collage of travel-themed pattern papers (Travel Girl by October Afternoon), and that's about as far as that went :)

I blended several shades of blue Gelatos over the page, then used Iced Currant Gelatos over a Design Memory Craft Stencil. I also used a polkadot stencil to add some Copper Texture Luxe modeling paste.

How great are these fish stamps?! They are from the talented Fred B. Mullett and are so unique and fun to use. I fussy cut the stamped image and gave it a very thin coat of Faber Castell Design Memory Craft Glaze. Once the glaze dries it gives me a non-porous surface to easily blend Gelatos and Stamper's Big Brush Pens.

I used letter stencils from the Stencil 301 Collection and my Black Stamper's Big Brush Pen to spell out my quote - Only dead fish go with the flow.

Can't wait to see your Travel creations! Make sure to enter your project in the MMMC gallery by August 31st!

  10. I’m impressed, I must say. Truly rarely must i encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail about the head. Your concept is outstanding; the thing is something too few people are speaking intelligently about. My business is happy that we stumbled across this within my search for some thing relating to this. 먹튀해방

  14. Booking air travel, making hotel reservations and arranging vacation travel in general has changed completely with the advent of the internet and many people try to be their own travel agents. While you can arrange seemingly most of your travel yourself, you can't do as well as your travel agent in a long run! Oman National Museum

  15. A great number of small business owners have a constant urge to expand. Of course, the mere idea of expanding and becoming a "big" business known to thousands and millions of people is fascinating. However, expansion is not all about finding a new office space and hiring new employees to fill the vacant seats. quitmasturbating

  16. That is the best weblog for anybody who wants to find out about this topic. You notice a lot its virtually exhausting to argue with you (not that I truly would want…HaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a subject thats been written about for years. Great stuff, simply nice! 호게임

  17. If you want to learn about managing the safety and security of your corporate travelers then you will need to read this report. Specifically we'll discuss preparation, analysis, management, monitoring and response as it relates to an active and successful travel risk management program. After reading this article, you should know how to prevent or predict approximately 90% to travel risks and act immediately to improve your own program. Implementing a successful travel risk management strategy can be one of the easiest corporate actions but the most difficult to get moving. Too much time is wasted focusing on the wrong areas for assessment and implementation, that results in minor coverage for the major areas of concern. Here we will simplify the process for immediate action or comparison. پارک آبی اوشن کیش
