How did we get so close to Christmas already?! One of the best traditions in the bloggy world for the holidays is Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist! I love playing along with these fun challenges, and for today I am sharing my tag inspired by Day 1 which was a color challenge :)

I had a lot of fun with this darling Christmas Bird stamp set that I colored with my Design Memory Craft Gelatos. Here's how I did it!...

I started by stamping the images on watercolor paper with permanent black ink. I always use my MISTI when stamping on watercolor paper so I can stamp twice to get a smooth impression.

For the Teal portion of the color challenge I used two different blue shades of Gelatos to blend color onto my bird. I blended the color using the handy blending tool from the Gelatos Tool Kit.

I used the same coloring and blending technique to fill in the Santa hat and the holly leaves. Now I have my green, red, and pink for the challenge as well!

I colored the background of my tag with the same Gelatos as I used with the Santa hat. Then I colored this polka dot Hero Arts stamp with Snow Cone Gelatos, misted the stamp with water, and stamped directly onto the tag. I love the subtle background this created!

To give the bird a base to sit on, I added some green and silver washi tapes then finished it off with a twine green bow. Now I can fussy cut the stamped images and add my birdie!

The bird was adhered with foam dots to lift it up from the background. I also used Liquid Applique to give a puffy cotton look on the Santa Hat. You'll see I also added some details with Glass Bead Glitter Gel and Texture Gems in Silver.

Thanks for joining me and have a very Merry Christmas!

Boooooooo....

Let's jump right in today... more adorable Howl-o-ween cards coming right up!

This Lawn Fawn Happy Howloween set is just too cute, I had to make more cards. Just like yesterday's cards, I colored my images with Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and used papers from Recollections. I kept these cards pretty simple because I had some colored-in pups left over that I wanted to use.

The frame border is from My Favorite Things Stitched Frame Dies. Made the inside panel incredibly simple by just adding some grass die cuts.

This card might just be my favorite of them all, and it's easily the simplest. The Super Dog is so cute and owns the spotlight!
