Day Dreamin'

What took me so long to get "Critters Ever After" Lawn Fawn set?! It was time for me to get a new Lawn Fawn stamp, so hey... I got two! And inked up immediately for the latest Lawnscaping challenge: Coloring.

With the focus on coloring, I decided to combine my two favorite techniques: Copics and Prismacolor Pencils. The clouds were colored with the pencils and blended with mineral oil; this gives them a softer 'cloudier' look. The princess castle was colored with Copics.

The clouds are from my new "Blue Skies" Lawn Fawn set. All images were fussy cut and then placed on the card. The sentiment was curved to sort of wrap itself around the castle.

The smaller clouds were popped up with foam dots. I wanted the castle to look like it was floating in the sky, to look like a sweet little fairy tale. Isn't the sentiment perfect for a castle in the sky??

Stickles added to the roof tops and clouds
Copics used: V01, V04, RV00, R20, BG11, BG13, B60
BONUS POST: a stampy tip! I struggled to get my sentiment perfectly curved, I even measured for the middle of the stamp to try to arch it just right. And then I saw my Nestabilities circle dies. I taped my large circle die to my acrylic block and used it as a guide to wrap my sentiment around...

A perfect curved sentiment!!!
Now I just want to go to Disneyland. But I guess I always just want to go to Disneyland...

May all your dreams come true!
