Laugh

Today was definitely a Monday. A bottle of superglue exploded on my hands, leaving me with webbed fingers and a coworker bathing my hands in nail polish remover. But I get to sip on some wine and watch olympics! Can't complain toooooo much ;)

Anyways, I made a little ATC for the Play Date Cafe color challenge #142... using cobalt, goldenrod, and peony

I used cosmo cricket papers and a Fiskars stamp that my dear friend Kari sent to me. I colored clear bling with copic markers to match. The border punch is ek success.

Happy Monday Funday

fishy wishy

Sad to see the weekend go by so quickly :(

But a fun and bright card for CAS-ual Fridays will cheer ya up :)

A color challenge! Make a clean and simple card with lime, teal, and navy

The fishies are from Paper Smooches "surf and turf" and the sentiment Paper Smooches "chit chat". They were stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with BG and YG copics. The washi tape is from target and k & company, with the sentiment stamped in Staz On ink. The bubbles are my favie part, from new liquid pearls metallic set.

Happy Olympics!

Moxie SMASH

This is the opposite of what Moxie Fab challenges are looking for. It's not neat, clean, or perfectly executed. Because it's a page in my Smashbook, and Moxie Fab can just deal with it ;)

Oh, and you can check out the super clean and simple Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab World...

Here are my Smashbook pages...

My hubs and I were fatties the other night and got Chinese food take out. Then we did some P90X, so my thighs are in a lot of pain. But I did get this amazing fortune: "For true love? Send real roses preserved in 24kt gold!" They know me so well

I spend my days sparkling, laughing, and loving ;)

materials: October Afternoon "Cakewalk", me & my big ideas paper flowers, magazine cut outs, cosmo cricket paper, fortune cookie, flower push pins, we r memory keepers twine, we r memory keepers valentine's tags.

Go watch the Olympics! I wait two years for these every time :)

Smile Crocodile

Finally a crafty day! If you're wondering what I've been up to all week, browse my post from earlier today :)

I was able to play with two of my favies in blogland: The Play Date Cafe challenge with mint, yellow, coral, and tulip and the Lawnscaping Challenge photo inspiration with a similar color palate

And I got to play with some great new papers that arrived while I was away, and they fit perfectly with these colors

materials: lawn fawn "critters down under", october afternoon "cake walk", cosmo cricket "23", momento ink in burgundy and olive, we r memory keepers twine, foam dots

And now I go watch The Bachelorette season finale :)

So totally coooool

Our kayak finally got put to use today! It was a gorgeous day to paddle out on the lake. Our little local body of water looks so beautiful from the inside. My non-muscular arms feel like they'll fall off, but it is worth it.

My post-lake-kayak cool down was gettin it in for the Play Date Cafe color challenge of silver, nude, and gold. And I get to use another one of my brand new (new to me!) Paper Smooches stamps

The colors are very wintery, but it's just not that time yet! I made a winter image but with a generic sentiment so I can use it before December :)

I used DCWV metallic silver card stock for the background. The sentiment from Paper Smooches "good gab" is stamped in metallic gold ink. The Paper Smooches "Swanky Snowman" was stamped with tuxedo black Momento ink, colored with nude, gold, and silver Copics. I then used gold and silver Stickles to make everything extra shiny :) oh ya and some nude color Liquid Pearls.

My parents visit in three days, I can't wait to see them :)

You Inspire Me

I am so excited to have a new Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge!!! They have been very missed in Cath's time off. And there's a new Lawnscaping Challenge which is to use dimension in your card.

I used some Lawn Fawn "flutter by" stamps with white embossing powder, patterned paper, and foam dots for dimension.

I added some plaid pink brads to the center of the flowers just like the trigger photo used. The middle flower is popped up and so is the sentiment banner. The teeny flowers are dotted with some Liquid Pearls.

Happy Sunday. I hope you're watching the Wimbledon Finals today! Go Feds

Hey, Suga Sugar...

Happy Wimbledon Finals weekend!!! I've been brainstorming this Paper Smooches Sparks challenge photo for almost a week now. And then my big package of new PS stamps arrived and all was better in the world

This was the photo inspiration for the week...

The stripes on the ice cream sundae cup and especially the straw made me go for it

I used all stamps from Paper Smooches "Sugar Rush" set (I already know this will get used a lot), black Momento Ink, paper from Echo Park, and red twine from We R Memory Keepers. The coloring is done with the Copics shown above.

I've been on a lot of crafty shopping sprees lately. It is definitely time to take a breather! I got 23 new Copic markers (thanks for the coupon Donna!), some funky liquid pearls, stamps, papers, and embellishments. Happy dance :)
What have you purchased with the holiday sales?

Splish Splash

What a busy busy week this was, and it is great to finally have a weekend to do nothing. Just sit on my ass and people watch out my window. Perfection

And some stamping, of course. The Play Date Cafe had a really cool color story this week, with cotton candy, ruby, citrus, and dusk.

I had just received a cute stamp set from Oriental Trading Company. And it's great! Who knew. All the stamps on this card are from the OTC set

The umbrella and rain drops are paper pieced from Echo Park "walk in the park" and "splash" pads. The orange washi is from Target (so happy to find an orange bunch!), StazOn jet black ink, and Orange Stickles.

Now I'm going to attempt to make queso fundido con chorizo for the Euro Cup finals! Go Spain!
