Happy Christmas in July

Happy Christmas in July! I'm sharing two cards that feature the Spellbinders July Small Die of the Month. It is such a great set that can actually make three different styles, but I only got around to two today.

I love this little penguin mug! All of the cardstock used is part of the new Spellbinders ColorWheel collection.

The penguin card is paired with the beautiful Layered Noel Foliage Stencil that I actually purchased many many months ago and just finally got around to using it. I used a variety of Distress Inks to blend out the stencil with blue-greens and pinks and reds.

The simple 'season's greetings' sentiment is from a Hero Arts set called Holiday Season Messages stamped with Nautical Ink. And lastly, the stencil panel was cut with my favorite Postage Infinity Dies.

I'm very drawn to this reindeer mug because ten years ago I owned a holiday mug that looked exactly like it! This card combines a big mix of products. The white panel was embossed with the Plaid Company embossing folder. I then stenciled the panel with the new Candy Cane Toss Up layering stencil, blended with Distress Inks.

I then die cut the candy cane panel with the Postage Stamp Frame from PTI. The pink panel is die cut with the Candy Cane Frame, also from PTI. The sweet sentiment is from the new Hero Arts A Little Merri-Mint set.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your Christmas in July!

Swag, Swag, and More Swag

Do you have enough festive swag in your life? If not, you're in the right place 😁

The new Papertrey Ink Into the Blooms: Swag Die is an ab.so.lute. must have for your holiday cards. There are so many little bits that can be combined in endless ways for a beautiful card. I started by just die cutting my heart out - all the holly, all the twigs, all the branches. The more die cuts, the more possibilities! Oh, and the beautiful big bow is a part of the die set, too!

I layered all the swag bits onto a black piece from the Reflections: September Die to help it all pop. The background panel was die cut from a lovely deep red cardstock using the Postage Stamp Frame Post Card Die. All it needed was a very small and simple sentiment, which was heat embossed using the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from All Around Christmas.

Thanks for joining me all week for my Papertrey Ink Guest Designer Cards! I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to work with these gorgeous stamps and dies!

Dear Santa... Christmas Card

I'm continuing my Papertrey Ink guest design cards with the gorgeous September release! Today's card is made just for Santa...

When I unwrapped the entire release, this North Pole Mail stamp set is the one that I was immediately drawn to. I love the vintage vibe and the endless mix and match possibilities! First I die cut two peachy pink cardstock panels from the coordinating Candy Cane Frame Post Card Die. On the center panel, I heat embossed in gold the "kindly deliver to Santa" sentiment, and then stamped the written note in black.

The belt might just be my favorite part of the stamp set! I stamped in black ink and then heat embossed the buckle in gold. I also added the mini vintage Santa stamp and the postage image.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you can also tell Santa you've been good this year ;)

Candy Canes and Peppermints, Oh My!

All my posts this week will be holiday themed using the September Papertrey Ink release. I'm so excited to have been invited as a Guest Designer for such a great company!

This card is all about candy canes and lollipops! The peppermint and candy canes were die cut from the Gingerbread Builder Die set. This set is filled with so many little elements that go beyond just a gingerbread cookie. It's a must have in your holiday crafty stash! I also went extra on the glitter accents :)

The borders on this set use the Candy Cane Frame Post Card Die for the main white panel, and then in bright red I used the Skinny Ric Rac Die. The sentiment is heat embossed in rose gold powder, and stamped from the Doily Trees Stamp Set.

The final accents on this card include the light pink bow from the Stitched Circle Die and the green element from Reflections: September Die

Cards like this are perfect for any holiday that a friend may be celebrating this winter. Thanks for stopping by!

Ho Ho Ho - Vintage Santa with PTI

I'm thrilled to announce that I am a Papertrey Ink Guest Designer for September! PTI is a company that I've loved since the start of this blog (seriously, search "papertrey ink" in my blog search and there are some oldies but goodies hidden in there!). They have an incredible holiday themed release for the month, and I'll be sharing my cards all week long.

This Santa card is packed with new releases. I love the vintage vibe of the drawing, which uses the Santa stamp from North Pole Mail. The background was first die cut with the North Pole Mail: Postage Stamp Frame Post Card Die. I then heat embossed in silver the two different "ho ho ho" sentiment stamps from This is Big Sentiments: Ho, Ho, Ho.

Now, I didn't want poor Santa's head just floating on the card, so I anchored him with a die cut "ho ho ho" stamped in green. I also gave Santa some festive twigs that were die cut from the Into the Blooms: Swag Die set.

Thanks for stopping by!
