Autumn Color Challenge Cards

It is mid-October so it's time to jump into the autumn cardmaking! Concord and 9th has a fun new fall color challenge, and I decided to make a card for each color palette!

All of the cards today use the C9 Harvest Wreath Bundle. This set is like a mini turnabout, which lends itself to easily try a variety of color combos. My first color combo is Nectar, Spiced Cider, Lemongrass, and Nutmeg inks.

The cardstocks used match the ink colors. This one, I think, is the most classic autumn look.

The second color combo uses Briar Rose, Clementine, Cayenne and Avocado. The thank you sentiment was heat embossed with Brass embossing powder.

This color combo is my personal favorite of the batch, and is probably the least "autumn" looking of them all. The third card uses Tide Pool, Rainforest, Clementine, and Lemongrass.

Saving the most unique for last! This is another not-traditional color combo but I do love it so much! The last card uses the colors Clementine, Stardust, Tidepool and Pebble.

More with October Hero Studio

The October Hero Studio is so good, I'm still playing with it! I actually have three brand new cards to share with you all today.

I entered my craft studio planning to work on a completely different project, but then I spotted some twinkle lights that I had made the other day and well... distraction! I had to keep playing with this kit.

This first card uses the disco ball from the main Card Kit, the twinkle lights from the Die Set of the month, and the lovely background stamp from the Cling of the Month.

My second card today focuses on the Whole Studio Bonus, which is the beautiful Merry Everything die set...

I love a good oversized die since it takes up so much of the card front, it means there's not much else needed! I pulled out the beautiful Kaleidoscope Snowflake cling stamp, inked with Unicorn White. Simple simple simple!

Time for the last card! This one uses the Stamp and Cut of the Month...

I did something unusual here and used traditional Christmas colors :) Kept this one simple with the gold embossing so the lovely ornaments could stand out more.

The Hero Studio kits are really stepping up their designs. They also work together very well so mixing and matching is so easy! Thanks for stopping by!

Hero Studio October Blog Hop - Deck the Halls with Disco Balls!

It's Hero Arts hop day! There is an incredible October Hero Studio that just dropped! It brings a fun twist to your traditional holiday stamps and dies. It will be difficult to pick just one to subscribe to (so hey, subscribe to the whole kit!).

Visit all the hop stops and leave a comment for the chance to win a $50 Hero Arts gift card. Make sure you're signed in, or sign your name, so your comment isn't anonymous!

Isn't this fun?! The main Card Kit of the Month for October is packed with unique phrases and disco-themed holiday goodness. I have so many ideas with this kit and just need more time to play!

I was inspired by the colors of ColorWheel cardstock included in the kit. I did add some mirrored silver cardstock for the disco ball... it's so dang shiny I even left a giant fingerprint on there (woops)! The big bow was accented with Glitter Paste just to add a bit more glam.

The next card I have to share features the October Cling Stamp of the Month, called Starlight. I inked up the cling stamp with three different shade of blue Reactive Inks to give it an ombre look.

Since my other kit was heavy on the silver, I made this one heavy on the gold. I heat embossed the circle starburst and mini disco ball in gold embossing powder that is also included in the main card kit. The inside of the disco ball is stamped with the same Reactive Ink blues that I used in the background.

Christmas is too sparkly, said no one ever - wise words!

Be sure to visit all the hop stops and leave a comment for a chance to win! Happy hopping!
