C9 Guest Design - Retro Radio

It's time to show off the Retro Radio set by Concord and 9th!

How cute is this?! I love the radio and how personalized it can be. The sentiments are a lot of fun, too.
The cardstock used for this card is: Lemongrass, Almond, Grapefruit, Sea Glass, and of course - Champagne.

To tie the card together, I stamped the sentiments in Lemongrass Ink to match the cardstock used. I also added some music notes (included in the bundle!) that were cut from Sea Glass Cardstock.

This card has such a different vibe, mainly just by switching up the cardstock colors. The radio on my second card was put together with these cardstocks: Sea Glass, Midnight, Nectar, Pimento, and Stardust. Oh, and another shiny cardstock: Silver.

I created the background by stamping all of the little music note stamps with Nectar Ink repeatedly. It adds a fun subtle effect to the card! The "hello" is also included in the Retro Radio die set.

C9 Guest Designer - Petal Path

Welcome back to day 2 of C9 inspiration for the new March release! Today I have 3 cards to share that feature the beautiful Petal Path Bundle.

The Petal Path Inlay Die cuts allll these beautiful flower bits that you then piece back in. I love this style of die because once you cut your various pieces of colored cardstock, you essentially have what you need to make multiple different cards! The beautiful Petal Path stamp set has sentiments that will shape beautifully throughout the card.

All the cards today use the same cardstock color palette: Sunflower, Midnight, Dragon Fruit, Parsley, and Aqua Sky. I used the same set of die pieces to put all these card together quickly.

With the leftover bits from the first card, this one was able to come together! It has a completely different look just by changing the back panel color. For this card, I stamped the sentiment in White Ink.

My last card uses just the flower bits and not the inlay plate...

I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Wood Slat embossing folder to add some interest to an otherwise simple design. Then pieced together a couple of the flower bits from the previous cards. Midnight and Dragon Fruit is such a preppy color combo - I absolutely love it.

I switched up the sentiment for this one and used the banner die and "have a beautiful day" stamp from the new Briar Blooms bundle.

C9 Guest Designer! - Toast Time

I am so very very excited to be one of Concord and 9'th March Guest Designers!!

Today we're kicking off the release with the super fun Toast Time set! I believe all three of us picked this as our favorite set out there. I have two cards to share - one savory and one sweet :)

Cutest dessert toast I've ever seen! This card features the Toast Time Bundle, just look at that fun stamped sentiment. You will definitely want to grab both the stamps and the dies for this one. I also added the corner die cut which is from an older C9 release called Festive Corner Cuts.

Now for the cardstock color breakdown!
Toast base: Wheat and Peanut cardstock
Strawberries: Grapefruit and Sorbet cardstock
Blueberries: Midnight and Blueberry cardstock
Bananas: Ivory and Shortbread
Napkin: Watermelon
Background Panel: Powder

Now for a savory breakfast toast! The set allows for so much mixing and matching, no toasts will be the same. I went with an avocado toast theme on this card... and of course a punny sentiment.

And now for the cardstock breakdown -
Toast base: Wheat and Peanut
Avocado spread: Avocado cardstock shaded with Avocado ink
Tomato: Brickyard and Pimento

Thank you for stopping by for Toast Time! I'll be sharing more C9 cards over the next several days so be sure to come back.

You The Real MVP

Welcome Back! The brand new March Spellbinders Club Kits have dropped! These kits will be perfect for Father's Day, Mother's Day, or to send a Just Because card.

How cute is this hat!? I have visions of it being fully bedazzled, circa early 2000s. In that age's true fashion, I decided to recreate an Arizona Diamondbacks hat with the colors that they USED to have before switching to black and red (terrible decision).

This is the March Stitching Die of the Month, but I actually really like the look without stitching thread. I'm fully satisfied with the color showing through the holes! Love that look. I used cardstocks in Violet, Teal Topaz, and Raven. I also embossed the background with an older SB folder called Sun Rays.

My Monthly Hero - Holy Cow!

The My Monthly Hero kit continues to BE AMAZING and the March kit is no different! I have three cards to share today with this udderly legen-dairy kit...

This first card uses the My Monthly Super Hero kit, which includes those darling milk and cookie dies. I also used the little cow stamp in the set to create my own background for the card by simply stamping him multiple times in Granite ink.

My next card focuses on just the main My Monthly Hero kit...

I really really love that cow print stencil. I also had fun putting together my little milk carton. There are so many different ways to make it "your own". I personally grew up with Lucerne milk cartons in my fridge, so that blue and white color is what I had to replicate. For this card, I used Cornflower ink as the blue shade inspiration (which has quickly become a favorite).

The milk carton die has options to make either an open carton, a closed carton, or a carton with a little twist cap. I just love that they thought of everything!

And now for a little (citrus) twist.....

When I realized that one of the dies was a little twist cap, I instantly thought of orange juice. Again, growing up, our orange juice was typically a classic Tropicana carton with a good ol' twist top. I instantly knew I had to make it happen!

I combined the new My Monthly Hero kit with one of my favorite releases from last year, the "I Pick You" collection. I used the apple die from Apple Frame Etched Dies to turn them into oranges. I also used the lovely apple tree stamp from In the Orchard to turn that into an orange tree for the background. I grew up with orange trees in my yard, so we either had fresh squeezed OJ available during peak season, or Tropicana in the winter. But there was always OJ! Finally, the sentiment is stamped from the Apple Branch set.

Be sure to check out this kit because they have been selling out quickly!

Beautiful Moments Release

The Beautiful Moments release is live at Simon Says Stamp! I have a card to share using the super cute Hoppy Spring stamp set.

The little sheep and bunnies in the Hoppy Spring set are top-tier adorable! To put this card together, I first die cut the Eyelet Oval and then stamped the fence/grass stamp. I colored the background and two sheep with my Copic markers.

The sheep were fussy cut and added to the scene with foam dots. I also added some very very light clouds with the Hero Arts Cloud Pattern stencil. Finally, it's all matted on the lilac cardstock cut from the scalloped rectangle die.

You Are Dill-ightful!

When Concord and 9th announced they were making a pickle themed stamp set, I set my alarm to add that baby to my cart the moment it was released!

Today I'm sharing my card created with the Dill-ightful stamps and dies...

I am a pickle fan and you will never catch me asking for "no pickles" on anything I'm ordering at a restaurant! The jar was put together in this order:
1. Stamp the jar with embossing ink and emboss with Brass powder.
2. Stamp the background of the jar with Powder ink.
3. Stamp the background of the pickle inside the jar with Parsley and then ink the edges in Artichoke.
4. Stamp the pickle outline stamp with embossing ink and emboss with Brass powder,
5. Stamp the solid lid image in Pebble. Then stamp the outline in embossing ink, and emboss with Silver powder.
6. Die cut the jar and the lid!

I also immediately fell in love with the Speckled Turnabout Stamp and this is my first time using it. I used this stamp for the background and inked it with Lemongrass, AvocadoGrasshopper, and Sprout.

Before gluing the jar to the background, I cut some dill sprigs and added them behind the jar.

This card was sent to a birthday boy who I've been told is a fan of pickles!

Spring Meadow Release is Live

There's a beautiful new collection out from Hero Arts called Spring Meadow. New dies, new stamps, new stencils... oh my!!

I have been making cards in sets of two lately, so this little card duo features the No One Lilac You set. Both flower images were colored with watercolors. I also used the new Birdsong Script cling stamp on the background of both cards. I absolutely looove myself a good scripty background! It can be used for literally any occasion.

Each card also has the flower image matted against an Arches Infinity Die, which I also splattered with White Acrylic speckle paint.

The stamp of the jar of flowers includes two different dies for it - you can cut the entire image as one, or you just cut the jar or just the flower bunch. I did the separate die cut and popped the flowers with foam.

Thanks for stopping by! I have a lot more to share coming up using this brand new collection! Some links are affiliates at no cost to you. Thanks for your support!

My Monthly Hero Release - In Full Bloom

It's the 1st of February so it must be time for a new My Monthly Hero release! Not to pressure you or anything, but last month the kit sold out in like two days... so don't sit on it and subscribe!

The kit this month will absolutely scratch your spring itch and your Easter needs. This card just uses the My Monthly Hero kit (not even the Super Hero!) and there is a whole loaded flower die kit included, plus sweet bunny and flower stamps. It really is perfect!

I made two mini cards (3.5" x 4.75") with all of the flowers I die cut from the kit. I wanted the flowers to shine, so I paired them with simple backgrounds using the Arches Infinity Dies for one and the Circle Infinity Dies for the other.

My third card today uses the layering stencils and the stamp set included in the main kit. I will admit, I did cheat a little and used the cute grass border die included with the My Monthly Super Hero Kit.

I blended the stencils using Hero Arts inks in Thistle, Cornflower, Green Apple, and Butter Bar. The bunny and flower were colored with my Copic Markers.

Let's Play a Love Game

Lady Gaga's catchiest song is easily "Love Game", it also happens to be the name of this darling set from Concord and 9th, perfect for your Valentine's cards! (Are you impressed with my transition skills?)

Can I tell you how excited I was when I realized my favorite childhood game was also a stamp/die set?! I was, and still am, a Connect 4 master. I am thrilled that extra-large-lawn-game-size Connect 4s are slowly infiltrating bars and backyards across the country. It's finally my time to shine :)

I did "play" Connect 4 while putting these little heart dies onto the card. These are my easiest ways to win, but I still won! Anyways, I really only used the dies and stamps included in the Love Game Bundle. The very punny sentiment is stamped with Wildberry ink, and all cardstocks used are from C9 as well.

The same Love Game Bundle includes this fun word search! My mom absolutely loves word searches, she does some every single day, so making this card definitely reminded me of her. The C9 inks I used for this card are Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit, and Creamsicle.

This card uses C9 inks Sprout, Harbor, and Eucalyptus. I thought highlighting the sentiment was a fun way to tie the card together to the word search theme.

Partners in Brine

I am seriously loving the Packed with Love collection, and I've used every single piece of it. I have another mermaid card to share today... and two more coming soon!

Each of the stamped images (mermaid, large sardine, packed with love, and partners in brine) come from the Partners in Brine stamp and cut set. I colored the mermaid and sardine with my Copic markers, and used those colors to inspire the die cut sardines in the background.

The die cuts on the card all come from the Big Mouth Sardine Die Set. The tin can was cut with the matte silver cardstock, which comes in a great metallic cardstock set that I use very very often. I added vellum to the lining of the can to help the mermaid stand out better in front of the colored sardine background.

The Big Mouth Sardine Die is also intended to match with the Big Mouth die to make it interactive! So you can make the can slide open to reveal something inside. If you don't want to deal with the interactive part, the set is still fun to use on its own, like I did here.
