Valley of the Sun

It has been probably close to a year since I entered a project into the Simon Says Stamp Challenges. Well I'm putting an end to that today! I've created my first ever Traveler's Notebook page ('bout time, since I've owned the notebook for almost a year) inspired by the SSS Monday Challenge, Transport It.

It's almost impulsive at this point that I take a photo out of the airplane window. It's hard not to, when you get a view you will never receive anywhere else. Especially without a single cloud in the sky! So hopefully it's obvious that my "Transport It" item is the airplane :)

I'll be submitting the full spread into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
This cool Rays stencil by Stampers Anonymous always reminds me of the Arizona state flag, so that was the first item I KNEW I needed to include. I filled in the stencil with a combination of Design Memory Craft Gelatos (Banana, Orange Soda, and Blood Orange) that I blended with my finger. I also used these same Gelatos colors with water and a paintbrush to add a wash of color down the page.

Hope you enjoyed my first Traveler's Notebook page! I plan on filling this thing up with little photos in the coming weeks :)

Also... As of this blog posting, the beautiful 52 piece Gelatos set is $10 off at Amazon! Give em a try and then let me know how much you love them! ;)

Happiest Place on Earth

It's been two months since I posted to my blog?!!! I'm sad how much it's getting neglected. I also haven't made a scrapbook page in many months... maybe since September. Leave it to a Paper Issues online crop to fix that!

Today I'm playing along with the "Bossy Bitch!" challenge in the Paper Issues Friends and Fans facebook group. The challenge was to use 8 items from their list on your layout.

It's also been a long time since I've purchased any scrapbook paper, except for the winter items for my December Daily. So all the paper is from Crate Paper Winter and Cocoa. Embellishments are from all over the place ;) I did use Gold Texture Luxe Paste from Design Memory Craft for the neat stencil in the background.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my 30th birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth! I love Disneyland <3

The items I used were: enamel dots, gold, mist, date stamp, paper clip, tag, chipboard, alpha stickers, and washi!
