Love Potion

Everyone could use a lil' love poison, don't think you can dispute that! The Play Date Cafe challenge 146 is black, white, and lime. I had the perfect empty tequila bottle that I transformed into a Halloween love potion.

The bottle was a tequila bottle, it was the perfect shape and perfect topper for a Halloween project.

I peeled off the original labels and traced them onto patterned paper, stamped, and adhered back to the original position.

Eternal love potion ;) the original label shape with washi and ribbon accents.

The little batties around the bottle were stamped with StazOn ink. The bottle neck was wrapped with washi tape and tied together with a green ribbon.

materials: paper smooches "spookilicious" and inkadinkado stamps, black stazon ink, dcwv "bewitched" stack, celebrate it ribbons, k & company washi tape, black twine, white gel pen

If ya take a look at this Play Date Cafe post you'll see that my Gracias card was the winner! yay!!!

mmmm minty

A minty fresh Moxie Fabulous kind of challenge today! How beautiful are these...

My minty blue card is for the winter holidays. Can we just skip the next couple months and get to celebratin'??

I got back to my paper piecing roots with this Paper Smooches snowman stamp and Echo Park papers. This snowman is cut from five different minty blue papers. I kinda love him and think we'll be best friends.

I cut the blue border/frame with an exacto knife. I then used sand paper to roughen up the inside edges. This let the white paper core to come through and look 'snowy'
The lovely sentiment stamp is Cosmo Cricket/Unity stamped in blue Momento ink and attached with minty polka dot washi tape. Both were recently sent to me by Donna (thanks!)

Is it still technically summer?? yes?

Crabby say haaaaay

There was a slight crispiness to the air yesterday, it was lovely! "Perfect sleeping weather" as I've learned the 'new englanders' like to say ;)

This little crabby card is for CAS-ual Fridays challenge #66 "Splish Splash"... feature something you see when you're at the ocean!

And how fitting to the challenge title that I could use paper from Echo Park "Splish Splash" paper deck. The crabby and the little splash stamps are Paper Smooches "Surf and Turf" and the sentiment is Paper Smooches "Word Salad".

The paper was embossed with the "Tiny Bubbles" folder by Provo Craft. I colored the crabby with light reds of Copic markers and used Momento inks.

Gracias

The colors for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge completely remind me of home. They just seemed so art deco and so Frank Lloyd Wright to me, I loved it

The card I made is very Southwest and blends into the mountains. ahhh time to go home to arizona, huh?!

The papers are Cosmo Cricket "2wenty thr3e" mini stack. The sentiment is Paper Smooches "Good Gab" which was colored with Copic 'light orange' marker. Three mini gold blings and that's it.

Happy Weekend!

Batty Love

Finally had time to play with the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge, and my newest PS stamp set annnd my newest dcwv paper yayayay

This week was a sketch challenge:

Ya know I wish it was autumn. So bad! Not even for the weather, the leaves, the pumpkin spice lattes... mostly because the fall begins all those lovely holidays that we get to create for :)

Oh he's just so cute. The paper is DCWV "Bewitched", StazOn ink, black twine, and a great little batty bling I found in the stash :)

And one more thing... I know I've said before that I have the best crafty friends in the history of crafty friends. Today I received an amazing surprise package full of crazy yummy goodies! I can't thank Donna enough for this smile on my face :) You are all so awesome and thank you so so much for thinking of me

Mus-Tache-Tic

A late night craving for Oreos and milk. This led to a Target cart full of soda, chips, pizzas, ice cream, energy drinks, and oh ya... milk and Oreos.

Anyways, I thought my fun little card tonight (for no reason or challenge in particular) kinda resembles my yummy oreos :)

Isn't he cute? This card is very much 'my crafty style'. I had fun making him and can't wait to send him off to someone special!

mustache man say HEEEEEY
The stamps are The Craft's Meow. I don't use this set often, but am always excited when I do!
StazOn tuxedo black ink, k & co washi tape, googly eyes, brad

All you need...

is love...

I was lucky enough to attend a lovely wedding last night for my great coworker. She is so happy, and her big day was flawless!

The wedding card I created for her was more on the 'fun' level and not so 'elegant'. It will also be entered in this weeks CAS-ual Friday challenge, to make a square card.

I used some purple Smooch Spritz on a separate square panel and inked the edges with Momento "Elderberry" and adhered with foam dots.

I'm still playing with my Sew Easy tool! I did two different twine colors to match the little camera.

The stamps are Amy Tangerine "Love Struck" collection. The camera was inked with Staz On black, colored with Prismacolor pencils, and blended with mineral oil. The sentiment is stamped with Momento "Teal Zeal."

Hope y'all have some love in your life! And clearly blogger ain't loving me today... took 13 hours for this post to work. Ha

Cloud 9

It's way too early for holidays and snowfalls in real life. But never too early to craft about them :)

The CAS-ual Friday challenge this week is "cloud 9", or anything you see in the sky. I honestly was more impressed with these DT inspirations than any other week. They really knocked it out, I loved them!

I used Craft's Meow "vintage snowflakes" set

I used blue Momento ink and stamped first on scrap paper then a second time on my card. This made the ink lighter and softer and a little more 'messy vintage' looking. The sentiment was double stamped in the blue and then again in black ink. I added the great light blue k & co washi tape, some liquid pearls, baby bling bits.

I gave that Sew Easy thing another shot. Definitely turned out better than the first try.

Here's hoping we don't see real snowflakes for many months to come

You knock my socks off so hard...

I'm doing my best to actually craft after work. It's kept me sane so far! Just got three more work days left...

This black and yellow card was made for the one layer Lawnscaping challenge. It was also made as a random 'love ya' note to the hubs.

I know I know. The twine doesn't quite make it 'one layer'. But the DT examples did it too, I swear. And one layer doesn't mean one dimensional ;)

Donna inspired me to bust out my Prismacolors and mineral oil to color the socks. Stamps are Lawn Fawn 'my silly valentine', StazOn black ink, we r memory keepers twine, target and k & company washi tape.

Not a bad Monday morning pick me up, huh?

Monday Morning Pick-Me-Up

Autumn.
It sounds crazy coming from a girl who lived in Phoenix, AZ for 19 years... but I just cannot wait until fall arrives. I now live in Connecticut where there are four (count em... four) seasons. And I am craving for fall.

Happy Monday. Just some pretty pictures to get everyone else in the mood with me :)

Mint Julep

The Olympics are amazing. I have been glued to TV in awe, so I haven't made time for paper playing!

The play date cafe challenge #143 has my favie colooorrrssss. You know the ones: cherry, mint julep, and jade. Or as I know them, red and teal.

I made a birthday card for my friend's little boy who is turning 6. I used some punch outs from an old birthday stack (me and my big ideas, i think), october afternoon's "cakewalk" papers, and my new Sew Easy tool to thread the bottom.

I gotta say, the Sew Easy tool was not so easy. But I covered up the flaws and it looks ok in the end, just took many many practice runs!
