Yesterday marked my BEST FRIEND'S 25th birthday!! She's a quarter of a century old, yall. I wish I could fly across the country to Phoenix to celebrate big with her!

This is us in Vegas last year. She'll be upset I'm posting that ice cream picture so huge. She'll get over it, that's what friends are for!

So here is the birthday card I made for her, also for the most recent CAS-ual Fridays challenge, to use flowers or trees!

materials:
stamps: Hero Arts "mi casa", Paper Smooches "Metropolis", StazOn ink in Jet Black, Prisma color pencils, teal emboss powder, Versamark ink, paper from DCWV brights stack

Hey Gurl, Heey

I have another entry for the latest Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. Like my Earth Day card, I wanted to focus on the texture from the inspiration photo.

I used my checkerboard embossing folder to texture every single piece of paper on this bad boy. My arm got a work out, that's for sure.

mmmmmm waffle cones.
I used Paper Smooches "Surf and Turf" set and the "Metropolis" set for the clouds. All paper is from Recollections 'Mosaic' stack.

This phrase/video got a lot of attention on late nights in the college dorms. Can't really explain why, but please take 14 seconds out of your day to watch this...

Yup

Ok I made a slightly masculine Earth Day card, complete with recycled coffee huggers :)

I am entering this card in the latest Paper Smooches Sparks challenge, where I was mostly inspired by the textures in the yummy waffle cones.

Stamp a Scene

I've been trying to get more creative with my scrapbook pages, and using stamps is an easy way to spice em up! I made this Easter fur baby layout for the Lawnscaping challenge to Stamp a Scene. And I really just wanted to share my fur babies :)

I had this big woodland animal border that I purchased many many moons ago from the clearance bin. I added some colored Lawn Fawn critters to the bottom and some Easter Egg colored raccoons dancing around the page :)

Materials:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn "Critters in the Forest" "My Silly Valentine" "Love and Breakfast"
DCWV Lemon stack, Prismacolor pencils, StazOn ink, clearance bin border, and a couple stickers from a very old Cosmo Cricket christmas collection.

Aren't the animals so daper in their Easter attire?!

Having a Whale of a time

My favorite challenge blog, Paper Smooches Sparks, is holding a DT call and challenging us to make new projects from old inspiration photos. Of course I wouldn't turn down this opportunity!

This photo was the hardest Sparks challenge ever. When it originally posted in February, I never ended up entering a card because I just had no good ideas. So naturally this is the first one I tackled...

So glad I gave it another shot! I kinda love this card and think it goes quite nicely with the photo!

materials:
Paper Smooches "Surf and Turf", Paper Smooches "My Peeps"
DCWV Carnival Stack, StazOn ink Jet Black, washi tape from Target, twine and googly eye.

I wanna be a billionaire...

Woohoo a new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge! I just love the inspiration photo this week, I think it should be my new motto ;)

And hello. Have I ever mentioned my favorite color combo is teal and red? I have? Well it is.

A quick and simple little tag this time. The bike and sentiment are from Paper Smooches "Promenade" set and the flowers are from Paper Smooches "Hang Ups" set. All stamps were heat embossed and then I added some silver liquid pearls. Easy easy

I have a lot more Paper Smooches cards coming up this week, I can't wait to share em :)

Spring Lawnscaping Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Lawnscaping Blog Hop!  You should have come to me by way of the lovely Stephanie.  This month's theme is all about Spring! The hop runs from Friday, April 6th through Sunday, April 8th! Now sit back and relax and be prepared to be inspired. We have lots of designers on this hop so we want to make sure you have time to see them all! You have the whole weekend to hop along....  Make sure to comment on all of the blogs because there are LOTS of prizes to be won! All the details can be found on the Lawnscaping home page.

The things that remind me of spring: my mom's birthday, my half birthday (winky face), flowers, Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, and plenty of sunshine!
Here is the project I made for my mom's birthday using Lawn Fawn...

I decorated some of my favorite spring time photos with Lawn Fawn stamps and put it all in this frame I found on clearance for $1 :)

Sedona, Arizona. "Critters in the Forest"

Paper piecing ATC. "Love and Breakfast"

Cinco de Mayo. "Cozy Christmas" "Critters in the Forest"

Cherry Trees in Connecticut. "Silly Valentine" "Love and Breakfast"

The Lawn Fawn sets I used are: "My Silly Valentine", "Cozy Christmas", "Love and Breakfast", and "Critters in the Forest".
I also used Echo Park papers and Prismacolor pencils.

Next head on to Lynnette's blog. If you've gotten off track, don't worry! Head on back to Lawnscaping to see the complete list of the hop participants and prize information!

PRIZES! THREE prizes will go to three random people who comment along the hop! The specific prizes will be mentioned on the Lawnscaping page, which will be the start of the hop! Sweet Stamp Shop Stamp set, May Arts ribbon pack and Lawn Fawn Stamp sets are just a few prizes that are up for grabs.

Poppin' Shrooms

All I could think about all day was the newest Lawnscaping challenge: Color! I don't think there's anything else I love more than coloring my Lawn Fawn stampies :)

I can't pass up a chance to put my buttery deliciousness Prismacolor pencils to good use. I kept this card "simple" and only used two stamps, a sentiment, and one layer (yay)

I used Lawn Fawn stamps from 'Critters in the Forest' and the sentiment is from 'Love and Breakfast'. The ink is StazOn (yummy) Jet Black and colored pencils. Right when this card was folded and complete, a huge smile went across my face! It's just so.... happy! I'll use it for an Easter/Spring card :)

And while I'm on the topic of Lawnscaping.... don't forget to come back on April 6 for the Lawnscaping blog hop! I can't wait to share my project (it's not a card!) and my fur baby Easter photo shoot :)
