MMMC 19 - Silver and Gold

Hello December!! Where the heck did November go?! Thanksgiving sneaked up on me and I have a feeling Christmas will do the same! The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge is prepared for holiday projects with our new December theme: SILVER AND GOLD!

We are so thrilled that the ever generous Indigo Blu company is back to sponsor us for another month! So we have another fabulous craft filled goodie box up for grabs this month!

For this month's silver and gold project I created a holiday flip frame for my mantle

I created 5 different holiday pages for my flip frame. So this will be a photo heavy post!

My second page focuses on this fun snowman that I painted with Indigo Blu matte paint in Frosty Grey, then I stamped the Sheet Music rubber stamp with Indigo Blu Grandma;s Teacup paint. I added a little ribbon piece for the scarf and some black enamel dots for the eye and buttons :)

The third page might be my favorite with this fun gold reindeer! For the background, I stamped the Holly Berry rubber stamp in opposite corners and covered it with Manchester Tart Mega Flakes... I'm for real obsessed with these Mega Flakes... it's such an easy way to add a foiled look to your paper crafts!

The 4th page focuses on the gorgeous Merry Christmas stamp that I covered in gold Chariot of Fire Mega Flakes. I added a little college of paper ephemera in the bottom corner.

My final page! I used two stamps on this one, both covered in Mega Flakes... the Sheet Music stamp is in the background and the I Wish You a Merry Christmas stamp is right up front! I'll definitely be using that stamp for some holiday cards coming up!

Are you still there?! A lot of photos, I know! Thanks for stopping in and make sure you enter your own SILVER AND GOLD project to the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Gallery! I can't wait to see what you all create :) And have a fabulous December!

Cyber Monday + New Video!

I hope you have all had a wonderful, family filled Thanksgiving! To finished off that weekend of food and shopping, Unity is hosting a CYBER MONDAY SALE! Hope you saved some money :)

There are a whole bunch of brand new releases that you're gonna want to check out. My personal favorite is "Lil' Smartie Pants" which was designed by the lovely Lisa Arana.

I loved him so much I made two cards! Two circle cards to be exact... and I even threw together a quick tip video for 2 different (but easy!) ways to make a circle shaped card.

It's less than 2 minutes so I hope you have a look! You can always watch it directly on YouTube HERE

Unity is hosting a BRAND NEW TYPE OF CHALLENGE! The Be Inspired Challenge has just one theme, and this month it's all about HOLIDAYS. Any holiday! Make sure you link up your creation for a chance to win one of the biggest prizes of all challenge blogs!

My second circle card is a darling little Valentine card, so it also works perfectly for the brand new Be Inspired Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to continue along with the unity hop for more inspiration :)

Brown Thursday + NEW VIDEO!

Happy one-week-til-thanksgiving AKA BROWN THURSDAY AT UNITY STAMP CO! This is definitely one of THE best sales Unity puts on all year! And to make it even more exciting... there are a ton of brand new releases!

This stamp is "Owl Bundled Up" and is it not the cutest?! I loved it so much I made a little Quick Tip video PLUS a second card with him. As always, you can also watch the video at my channel here.

For my second owl card I used the same background embossed technique as the first card. I made this one more rustic and classic. Both owls are colored with Copic markers.

The next stamp will definitely be popular this week! You can't go wrong with an old truck and a Christmas tree!

A teal truck with wood paneling?! So cute! I colored this image with Copic markers and matted it several times onto the card front. I stapled the Pine Bough along the bottom for some added umph :)

Again, for card 2 I went rustic... deep reds and browns. Similar coloring to the first one, just a couple shades deeper all around.

NOW... the Brown Thursday sales!!! Hope you're sitting down...

YES THAT DOES SAY 60% OFF SITEWIDE! Use the code 60THANKS at checkout! And the wonderful Angela is donating $1 from every single order to Rice Bowls charity!

p.s. I just created an rwkrafts facebook page! Check it out!
