Birthday Pop Box Card

I am very very excited for this project today, not just because it's my first pop up box card, but it's my best friend's BIRTHDAY!!! This card was made especially for her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATIE!

While I just looove how the card turned out, I probably won't ever make another one of these. They're so time consuming! But cute. Such a catch 22 ;)

The banner was the most time consuming part of the card, but I also love that most. It definitely ties everything together.

All of the papers and cut outs are by DCWV. All papers are from DCWV "Chalk Fun" stack, available exclusively at Hobby Lobby (Or you can try to win one by commenting on my post here!).

Above is a view of the outside box while it's open.

These photos show it being folded up and closed.

I love you, Katie! I hope you have an amazing birthday!!

Mother's Day Inspiration Hop - Big Paper Giveaway!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Mother's Day hop brought to you by the Inspiration Crew! Today we are showcasing projects for Mom and using products we love! Plus there are some prizes along the way! I have an awesome paper giveaway at the end of the post :)

You should have arrived here from the always fabulous Donna :)

My first card uses a brand new Angie Girl from Unity Stamps, and I included a great sentiment from Unity's "Finally Fall" kit. I colored her with Copic markers and used paper from DCWV "Honey Chic" stack.

My next card was made specifically for my mom and does a pretty good job of showcasing my family's sarcastic humor. The paper is from October Afternoon "Nine to Five" collection, which has some pretty fabulous dated images (but that's why it's so fun!). So the card reads, "Thanks Mom... you're a good housekeeper!"

For the record, I think my mom is so much more than just a good housekeeper ;)

GIVEAWAY TIME!! I have extras of two BRAND NEW DCWV stacks that are exclusive to Hobby Lobby stores! I will pick a random comment below to win! I have the new "Boutique Vintage" and "Chalk Fun" stack, a value of $40! You will LOVE them!! Giveaway is now closed! Thank you!

GIVEAWAY!!!!! $40 VALUE! LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW TO WIN!
Thank you so much for joining our Mother's Day hop! Your next stop is the always amazing ANGI BARRS! Have fun :)

PPP Blog Hop - Hello Shaker Card

I'm so happy to have actually completed another shaker card, thanks to the motivation from Paulina at Pretty Pink Posh! I haven't made one since October, so I kept this one simple and to the point!

For my shaker card I used simple Spellbinders Rectangle dies, watercolor paper from Recollections, and a sentiment stamp from Avery Elle "Brushed" set. Sequins are from Joann's.

This is my first shaker card where the sequins actually SHAKE and don't get all stuck to the sides! Woohoo! Thank you to Paulina for letting us join in the fun! I'm excited to see what everyone else has created with the fun prompt.

I am also linking up this card for the Moxie Fab "Handwriting" challenge. The sentiment fits that description pretty well, I think :)

Thanks for joining and I'll see you again tomorrow :)

I played with two of the new girls. They were great to color with my Copic markers.

Ain't she gorgeous?? The stamp speaks for itself so I kept the design very simple. I colored her with Copic markers and matted the card on DCWV "Bohemian Sunrise" paper.

This is definitely my favorite Angie Girl! That dog is so cute, and of course I love my puppies :) The paper is Studio Calico "Here and There".

my meeko and me!

Floral Hello

It finally feels like Spring has sprung! Our flowers are blooming a little out of whack; we're still waiting for the daffodils in our yard to open. But we're all glad that terrible winter is behind us for good! I really enjoyed playing with this new flowery Stamp of the Week, while I had the windows open and a breeze blowing through the house... ahhh perfection.

This card is very different from my usual style, but I think that's why I like it so much. It is much more 'girly' and 'shabby chic' than usual. The edges are distressed with 'Tea Dye', the stamp is colored with Copics, and I even got some rosy pink sequins on there.

This is the current Stamp of the Week at Unity, called 'Floral Hello'. The subscription is only $5.79 (including shipping!) and you get a new surprise stamp in your mailbox every single week.
