Red, White, and Thank You

Happy 4th of July! I'm teaming up with the DCWV blog today as part of their week long patriotic project showcase. Today we're focusing on Thank You cards.

This card turned out so much better than it even did in my head! Don't ya love when that happens?! I mixed and matched a few DCWV 6x6 pads including "Glitter Basics", "Cardstock Stack - Jewels", and "Touch of Foil". The red and blue papers have a beautiful glitter shimmer, and the white paper really shines when the light hits it.

The flag is from a die cut grunge board. I colored it with PITT brush pens and backed the flag with a piece of white cardstock. The red, white, and blue twine just ties it all together ;)

This card only uses paper from "Touch of Foil" stack. I kept it simple with a layered journal card background and layered banner sentiments. The fun star gems are also from DCWV.

There are a lot more ideas over at the DCWV blog so make sure you stop by!

On a side note... today is my 5 year wedding anniversary with my hubby :) We've escaped to the middle of nowhere to celebrate! I'll be sharing my cute anniversary card tomorrow. See you then!
