Nautical Stripes

First things first... we have a winner of the Dear Lizzy paper pad from our Mother's Day blog hop!!

Congratulations #17, which is marylouh!! I'll be emailing today to get you your prize :)

Now on to the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge, which is to find inspiration in this photo:

I was inspired by all the stripes, the colors, and of course the nautical theme

I spent a reeeeeally long time trying to figure out what sentiment I wanted and where it would go. Then I finally made the executive decision that it didn't need a sentiment and was fine the way it was!

This card uses stamps from Paper Smooches "Surf and Turf" and "Smoocheroos" sets, colored with Copics, and fussy cut. Striped paper is from Dear Lizzy "Neapolitan" stack.

And holy crap I made a sailor's knot. That also took too long, but I like the subtle nautical touch it adds :)

  2. Thanks for the prize. I've sent you my address.
I love this card. I often make cards without a sentiment on the page of the card. I think your's looks good just the way it is. Congratulations on making the sailor's knot. The next one might not be as difficult.
    take care
