12 Days of Holiday Projects #1

Advent Calendar!!!

Welcome to Day 1 of The 12 Days of Holiday Projects Blog Event. Several crafty bloggers and I decided to post one holiday project a day for 12 days - just for fun.  The projects will be anything crafty! We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own holiday craft projects. Be sure to look at their blogs and leave comments on any that inspire you. Happy Holiday Crafting!!

This is such a fun event and make sure you check out all the other lovely bloggers playing along! I finally get to share my advent calendar yaaaaaaaaay!

I created 25 paper envelopes with a little pocket space in each one. All envelopes are uniquely detailed with their own pretty little number :)

My hubby and I split the calendar. He got the even days and I got the odd days. Each little folded paper has a personal "coupon" that we get to open every day (I don't know what his coupons are and he doesn't know what mine say)

Every envelope has been clothe-pinned to our Christmas tree. It's pretty friggin' cute. I kinda love it.

Here are some of my favies:

Materials: Authentique "Festive" paper pad, My Mind's Eye "All is Bright" paper pad, Lawn Fawn "Fa la la" paper pad, foam adhesive, pearl accents, Echo Park holiday stickers, mini clothing pins.

Check out all the other amazing projects for Day 1!

Retro Christmas

I came home from work today to a random power outage that lasted a solid 4 hours. The only thing that got me through my work day was knowing I could come home to drink some wine and get crafty... but craftiness is quite difficult in candle-light. Ok, so my point is... I'm posting this at 11:00 at night and that's why. At least I have power.

This is my FIRST TIME joining the Retro Sketches Challenge. I enjoyed the sketch, especially at 10pm when I needed some inspiration :)

This Christmas card uses The Craft's Meow stamps, Recollections "Jingle Bells" stack, and Recollection washi tapes.

I would love to invite you all back on December 1st for some holiday fun!! See you then :)

My Meeko

I'm just squeezing in this post on time for the DCWV November Stack-a-holic challenge! I didn't have to many event pictures, so I created a love page for my Meeko... my adorable pup that I love so much :)

I used all papers from DCWV "Carnival Stack" (easily one of my favies!... check out my last layout using this stack right here) and the yellow glitter paper is from DCWV "Glitter Stack". This was the sketch...

 beauty shots...

This is the closest I've ever been to crafting a banner for a card/layout. Little hearts are from Amy Tangerine stickers. Heart stamp is from Lawn Fawn. I have no idea where the rub on letters are from (maybe Oriental Trading Co?) and the punched border is EK Success.

Don't shop too much this cyber Monday ;)

Tag! You're it

It's time for tags! The season is calling for gift tags of all types. I was mixed between holiday tags and Valentine's tags (I'm getting way too ahead here), so I did some of both.

The Lawnscaping Challenge this week is Tags

I used Lawn Fawn sets "My Silly Valentine" and "Sweet Christmas" and "Love 'n Breakfast". All were punched with a Fiskars scallop punch and good ol' hole punch. Coloring is with Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits.

Happy NCAA rivalry weekend :)

With Gratitude

Tonight I'm sharing a Paper Smooches Sparks challenge entry. This week is a cool shades color challenge. I paper pieced the acorn and stamped the sentiment. Done-zo

I actually really like this card :) I'm going to send it to my sister-in-law who was gracious enough to let us stay in her home in Nashville for a few days :)

Sparks challenge colors
I used Paper smooches "Falling for you" set and "chit chat" set. Papers are from Echo Park "everyday eclectic" pad.

Two days till Thanksgiving! Yayayay!

Autumn greetings

I am totally putting off this big trip to the grocery store. It's already my least favorite place to go, and on a busy weekend before Thanksgiving? No thank you.

So I'm procrastinating with craftiness. This Tuesday Trigger photo has gorgeous autumn colors, which I used to make a holiday card

The stamp is Paper Smooches "Christmas Sampler" heat embossed in a rich red powder. All paper is bazzil basics. The little gem pearls are from Oriental Trading Co :)

Thanksgiving is definitely my favorite holiday. The trip to the grocery store is my least favorite :(

Holiday Cheer

I've got a quick Friday night post. I made this card for the Paper Smooches Sparks sketch challenge and the CAS-ual Friday "torn" challenge... although the CAS challenge is long over so I kinda missed the mark there :)

Cute little ironic walrus.

I used Paper Smooches "chilly chums" and "christmas sampler". Papers are Bazzil basics, washi tape is from K & Company

Play Date Cafe #158

Happy Play Date Cafe day and one week until Thanksgiving!!!!!! My favorite holiday :)

This week our colors are Rose, Eucalyptus, and Slate. And our amazing sponsor is Scorpal.

I made a very quick card that can be used for different occasions. The images are Amy Tangerine

Clearly my interpretation of "rose" is much darker than the challenge image! But that's the great thing about PDCC... use the colors how YOU see them... have fun! You have TWO WEEKS for this challenge so you can craft your Thanksgiving break away :)

Play Date Cafe #157

Hello Thursday and two weeks til Thanksgiving day yaaay! We have a gorgeous color story full of rich purples today at the Play Date Cafe, please join in the fun!

This week's colors are Plum, Fushia, Wisteria

I made an ATC this time. I needed to let out some crafty steam, and there's no better way than to spray ink!

The spray inks are Dylusians "bubblegum pink" and "crushed grape" with drops of blue dye ink from Ranger. All stamps are from Oriental Trading Co (cost me $4!).

I can't wait to see your creations with these fabulous colors!
