Cotton Candy Land

Does everybody else in New England just agree it is absolutely beautiful outside? It's breezy and cool, and feels like October! I can't wait for fall :)

Here's another little ATC, I just made it quick before leaving for work. It's inspired by the paper smooches sparks photo challenge...

I made candy-land/cotton-candy tree tops

Stamps: Paper Smooches "Spring Groves" and "Hang Ups", checkered washi tape from K&Co, black momento ink, jewel brad, Copics, and bright pink flocking powder.

I have a lot of flocking stuff but barely use it. This colorful forest makes me wanna hang out in Willy Wonka's factory :)

Pink Lemonade

Is there anything better in the summer than an ice cold lemonade? Yup. An ice cold pink lemonade. mmmmmmm

This lil' ATC was created for the Lawnscaping Challenge "color splash" and the CAS-ual Friday challenge to use pink.

The stamps are Lawn Fawn "make lemonade" and the sentiment is from "love and breakfast". I colored the images with Copics, and even colored clear bling pink and it worked great! I'll be coloring all my bling from now on :)

The second glass of yummy lemonade is adhered with foam for a pop-up look.

Happy summer!

Splattered Layout

There was a folder of never-looked-at photos back from my Phoenix trip in March. I found these great ones of my dad, mom, and myself poking our heads through great photo-op boards. I made this layout for the Lawnscaping Challenge "color splash" and the Moxie Fab "splatter technique" challenge.

I splattered the whole page with red-orange watercolors. All stamps are from Lawn Fawn's "Flutter By" set. I have been wanting this set for so so long, and it arrived in my mailbox yesterday! yay! I stamped with Momento ink, colored with orange/yellow/red Copics, and cut them all out.

There is a butterfly garden located inside the Phoenix Botanical Gardens. All different types of butterflies just land on your hand, they were so pretty. And these photo-op things are great, especially because my mom hates doing em :)

Have a happy weekend. Hope the weather is good where you are :)

Spaw Day!

Today was just one of those work days that requires a cold glass of white wine afterwards. But hey, everybody's workin' for the weekend, right?

I made a layout for the DCWV Stack-a-holic monthly challenge. It's been a long time since I entered, and I have a lot of pictures that need to be scrapped!

All the papers are from DCWV's "The Carnival Stack", which has become one of my favorites. It's one of those stacks that I enjoy so much that I never use it. Because what if I really want to use it later?! Here is the sketch for June...

The only other materials are K&Company polka dot washi tape, paper flowers (oriental trading!), random buttons, and alphabet stickers sent from Kristen (thanks!)

These photos were from Meeko's sixth birthday party. All the fur babies took a bath together so they definitely looked pretty cute.

Vellum Flowers

More vellum and flowers! This is another entry to the CAS-ual Friday vellum challenge. I used the Recollections "freedom flowers" set (same set as my vellum card here!) and colored with Copics. I colored from the backside of the vellum to give the flowers a softer look. It also helps to hide imperfections from coloring :)

The sentiment is from Craft's Meow sunshine set, and adhered with little brads I found in the dollar section.

And now I drink my coffee and enjoy the heat wave today!

Bloomin' Beauty

Night owl post for all you zombies out there!
I found an old Recollections stamp in my collection called "freedom flowers" and they were just screaming to be stamped up and color pencil-ed

Can ya tell this is a 10:37pm photoshoot? I even skipped The Bachelorette for this

The colors for this card are inspired by this week's Play Date Cafe color story: azul, raspberry, blackberry. I layered two of the bigger flowers with double stamped vellum to add dimension. I am also entering this card into the CAS-ual Friday vellum challenge.

Each flower was stamped with StazOn ink (works great on vellum, no smearing) and colored with Prismacolors and blended with mineral oil. The vellum took to the Prismacolors and mineral oil really well (yay!) so I was able to layer that easily. Added some blue and pink Stickles, bling, and a sentiment I cut from a magazine.

I just curled the petals of the vellum flowers using my fingernails to get them to flair out a bit. I loved coloring this one, and the colors were really fun to work with :)

Nighty night

Cool Dad

Happy Father's Day!
I made a graphic vellum card for Matty. And he loves his Stickles

This cool Ditto stamp was sent to me from Kari. I stamped it on vellum using StazOn ink (this doesn't smear and dries immediately). I used fiskars sea pearls corner punch, pink stickles, twine, and the sentiment is cut from a magazine.

This card will be entered in CAS-ual Friday's vellum challenge!

My Deer Daddy

All my family vacations consisted of camping. Tents, backpacking, fires, lanterns, and go fish. My new Paper Smooches stamp set "Happy Camper" is a perfect fit for my daddy's Father's Day card. Also the fun forest green polka dots fit right in to the Cas-ual Friday challenge :)

I made a pocket sized gate fold card. Each page has the swiss dot embossed on white and lightly shaded with green chalk ink.

Little camping scenes on the inside gates. Every image was colored with Copics and cut out.

The inside where my sentiment will go. These cute little critters are from Paper Smooches "Smoocheroos" set.

A nice little grizzly bear on the back!
I used every single stamp in the Happy Camper set (except two sentiment words) and creating a mini story for my dad was definitely the best way to use them all!

materials: DCWV 'Lemon Flower' stack, white card stock. Cricut swiss dots emboss folder. Colorbox green chalk. Copics. Cutterbee scissors. Paper Smooches "Happy Camper" and "Smoocheroos". Momento tuxedo black ink (thanks kari!)

Pine for you

It's the French Open Men's Final!!!! I'm watching Novak vs Rafa and made blueberry muffins for the match. I'm so excited for this :)
While watching the women's final yesterday, i paper pieced a cute little scene for the Lawnscaping Challenge to use patterned paper.

The papers are from Echo Park and all the stamps are from Lawn Fawn "critters in the forest" set. Enjoy your sunday and go watch some tennis!

Smile

Happy weekend! I wanted to make a 'just cuz' card to send to my mama. It's been a while since I've sent anyone a card just for the sake of sending a card! The Paper Smooches Sparks challenge this week is to use patterned paper. This means paper piecing!

The stamps are Paper Smooches "spring groves" and the sentiment is from a Fiskars stamp set (thanks Kari!). The patterned papers are Echo Park :)

And I'm so glad we got Bravo back. This will be a happy weekend!

Let's Go

Just a lil hump day quickie before I run off to work ;)

I made this card for the Cas-ual Fridays challenge, to put some bling on it! No probs

Still having issues getting a good picture... don't remember the last time the sun was shining!

materials: Paper Smooches "Metropolis", "Promenade", and "Chit Chat" stamp sets. Momento tuxedo black ink. Target washi tape. Copic markers. Bling.

Hello Sunshine

There is a very girly color story over at the Play Date Cafe this week. I had fun, and found it challenging, to make a chic and girly card...

I enjoyed ripping up some pretty papers from my Recollections Mosaic stack (my favorite value stack i've ever purchased!)

Apricot, Canary, Latte, and Rose were the colors this week. The latte in the photo looks like 'gray' to me, but when I hear 'latte' I think brown. So I have some little touches of brown in the pattern paper, the twine, and the stamped sentiment. Sentiment is from Paper Smooches "Chit Chat" set.

Now I'm off to watch three hours of French Open tennis... I wish there was more!

You're Swell

I've been spending the week celebrating two of my fur babies' birthdays! They love getting special treatment all week long. So spoiled. And I ab-so-lute-ly love the sound of a good ol' thunderstorm!! It was difficult to get a good picture for this card cuz of all the clouds, but I ain't complainin.

no, you are!
This card was inspired by the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge using this very cool photo...

PS Sparks challenge
I would be a very happy girl if I had a teal piano in my living room!

I spent some time stamping/coloring/cutting while watching So You Think You Can Dance... ha. All the stamps are from Paper Smooches "Surf and Turf" set. It's a long card, sized 5.5" x 3.25" I stamped with Momento black ink and the sentiment in Distress Ink 'evergreen bough'. I used Copics for coloring and needed a splash of bling.

Enjoy your weekend :)
